Life likes to throw curveballs, and sometimes, these come in the size of a watermelon that loves nursery rhymes. Alexa Bliss, the firebrand of the WWE and a multi-time women's champion, recently talked about her unexpected pregnancy and how it has impacted her WWE journey.
Leading up to WrestleMania 39, Alexa Bliss was preparing for a big return to the squared circle. Instead, nature had a different kind of tag team partner in mind and tossed a cuddly wrench into her plans.
In an interview with The Messenger, Bliss shared that she was "preparing" for her return to the WWE when she had "really bad cramping." She got a test afterward and found out that she and her husband, singer, Ryan Cabrera, were expecting a little bundle of joy.
While this happy little incident blindsided both Cabrera and Bliss, she isn't about to tap out of the wrestling game anytime soon.
With Bliss' WWE contract extended all the way through 2024, Bliss has more than enough time to morph into Supermom before going back into becoming one of WWE's superstars. Her game plan? Hit the gym a month after a baby Bliss enters the world and start preparing for her WWE return. Talk about a Herculean effort.
But, here's the twist - Alexa Bliss is no stranger to transformations. While her career has seen her sport multiple personas ("nine different people," as she puts it), she's looking forward playing yet a new role in her comeback.
Although we'll have to wait until some time around WrestleMania 40 to see if Bliss makes her return, we can expect her to give it her all after she fulfills her most important duty in life - becoming a mother. After all, with the fighting spirit of a WWE champion and the multitasking mastery of a mom-to-be, there''s nothing that Alexa Bliss can't do and no personality that she can't pull off.
As for what kind of personality Bliss will have in her in-ring return, all bets are off. It's been rumored that she'll reunite with Bray Wyatt, her former on-screen ally. But, Wyatt himself isn't in the best shape to wrestle in the ring. One thing is certain though, when Alexa Bliss does come back, it promises to be nothing short of a spectacle.
Speaking of Wyatt, the enigmatic successor to The Undertaker recently got a new writer to help him with his promos in his eventual return.
