We have a lot of rumors pointing towards the return of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The popular map featured heavily in the recent trailers and gameplay videos released by Activision Blizzard.
We know that Verdansk will return in the upcoming Call of Duty installment but as part of the single-player campaign. However, a new rumor suggests Verdansk will come back as part of the Warzone battle royale mode.
Popular Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope recently tweeted that a survey sent to players months ago made an impact on the movement changes coming to Modern Warfare 3. Another user replied, "If these surveys actually mattered… we will definitely see Verdansk back as a BR map at some point."
"March 10th 2024. Trust the plan," TheGhostOfHope replied.

This will be the first time that a date has been given for the return of Verdansk. The latest installment to the Call of Duty series is coming on November 10 and the first season is expected to come a month after release. Interestingly, given that seasons in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone last for about two months, March 10, 2024, maybe the start of the third season of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone barring any delays.
Verdansk was introduced as part of the single-player campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019. The popular map went on to become the original map for Call of Duty: Warzone when it was released in 2020. During the second season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the map was destroyed in The Destruction of Verdansk event. The map was eventually replaced by Caldera with the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature a part of Verdansk as a playable area during the first cinematic campaign mission called "Operation 627". Players will conduct a nighttime amphibious raid on the infamous Gulag to rescue one of the members which we assume will be Captain Price. The mission is a nod to an older Call of Duty mission of the same name from 2009's Modern Warfare 2.
Verdansk will also be a part of the the 120-player battle royale mode of the upcoming mobile game, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. The small multiplayer maps included in the mobile game will be from iconic locations within Verdansk.
For now, nothing is officially confirmed regarding Verdansk in either Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer mode or Warzone's battle royale and DMZ. So please take the rumors with a pinch of salt. We will be updating this story once more reliable information is available.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 10.
I am good on this. I know a lot of people loved the map but I never did.
They could have broken it up or selected a core area for TDM. I doubt they will though. The map is way too large otherwise.
This has to be one of my favorite FPS maps!
I wish they would bring back more classic maps from the OG games, BO1 and 2 as well as OG MW3.
