Action Unreal Tournament 2004
Overview
Action Unreal Tournament is a modification of Unreal Tournament 2004 that adds realistic weapons, better damage simulation, new gameplay, and bags of action-movie style.

The idea is that each bullet counts for a lot, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't pump them full of as many bullets as you can spare; they'll get a chance to shoot back before they die if you don't finish them off. Cover actually means something, it's better to make sure there's a pillar or a desk near by to duck behind, especially if you have to reload or bandage yourself.
Everyone knows that to be a true action hero you must do at least two things. At some point in your career you must 'go akimbo' even if only for a minute or too. Pick up two pistols and try and take out the guy raking everyone with an automatic. However, AUT will allow the player, in a completely exclusive gameplay design, to go 'mixed akimbo'. Using the left and right mouse buttons, the player will able to operate a mixed variety of weapons at the same time. Imagine clearing the area with your mp5 and picking off the rest with your pistol!

The other thing you need to do is dive. When you dive you become a smaller target, become faster and are no longer where your opponent was aiming and you look damn smooth while you're doing it!

Features
- Real World guns, balanced but powerful, with all new models, skins, and sounds.
- Movie style accuracy, damage and bandage systems.
- Special items you would find in a good action movie, like silencers and kevlar vests.
- New player models.
- Original deathmatch rules.
- Last Man Standing games.
- Awesome Teamplay options.

Frag Ops
Overview
The war against global terrorism has ended.

Late in 2005, NATO passed a resolution allowing military operations to take place in the private sector, due to a failing economy and severe lack of soldiers to secure the now-devastated eastern hemisphere. Hundreds of private Mercenary corporations immediately sprouted, offering to pay their employees steep sums to fulfill their contractors' needs. Tens of thousands of jobless fighters answered the call for work. And then it all went to hell.

The corporations became immensely powerful -- and rich, thus becoming more unscrupulous towards the contracts they accepted. The jobs often bordered on terrorism. NATO was powerless to stop them, with many major operatives now holding key positions in the council. In a last ditch effort, they called upon all 1st-world countries to train elite Special Ops units to help combat this powerful threat -- their leaders offering to pay the same price for men as the Mercenary corporations. The year is now 2007. The world is at war. There is no good, no evil -- nobody seems to be able to tell what either is anymore. The only thing that matters is the next paycheck... and where it comes from determines your alliance.

Choose wisely.

SAS Into the Lion
Overview
SAS is a mod for the UT2004 engine. It will attempt to simulate actions by the various SAS units around the world such as the U.K. SAS, Australian SASR and New Zealand NZSAS during various conflicts they have participated in the past, present and possibly future.

Teams are broken down into two sides with the SAS and Opposing Forces. Players will enter a game and choose their team, player model, weaponry and equipment before starting out.

Beta 3.0 features new animations for all player models when they transition from unaim to aim mode, new running, walking and crouching animations. There's also large numbers of tweaks and polishes to existing features such as the Overtime rules for Objective and Sabotage gametypes, new maps such as Raid (OBJ), Indonesia Conflict (SAB), Hotel (OBJ) and Blackhawk (OBJ). A new body armor system so all player models can select a vest or helmet, new sound effects for most of the weapons and a number of bugfixes.

Sabotage pits one team on the defensive protecting multiple targets on a map while another team is on the offensive side whose job it is to destroy those targets in a certain amount of time. TDM is the standard round based play with one life per round, if you are killed you move into ghost cam while the remaining players finish the round. The Objective gametype has either the SAS or OpFor attempting to capture certain locations on the map to win.

SAS utilizes a semi iron-sights/crosshair aiming system where the crosshair will only appear for unaimed mode and when you move to aim the semi iron sights view will appear giving an increase to weapon accuracy.

Players will also have access to equipment such as night vision for maps set at night, bincoulars, frag/flashbang grenades, flashlights and demolitions explosives.

Unreal Tournament 2004 : Editor's Choice Edition
Overview
Unreal Tournament 2004 is a multiplayer first person shooter that combines the kill-or-be-killed experience of gladiatorial combat with cutting-edge technology. Ten game modes - both team-based and "every man for himself" -- provide even the most hardcore gamer with palm-sweating challenges through unbelievably detailed indoor arenas and vast outdoor environments. As the ultimate techno-gladiator of the future, players will take their fates into their hands, battling against up to 32 other players online in action-packed, frag-filled arenas.

* Assault Mode - Assault mode returns! Redesigned for UT2004, this fan-favorite mode sees teams face-off to defend and attack fortified bases, from fast-moving trains, barreling across an arid alien desert to a Skaarj mother ship, poised to attack the human home world.

* Onslaught Mode - Onslaught mode takes team combat to the next level! Opposing teams are pitted against each other to capture and hold strategic points in order to attack and destroy the enemy power core. Taking place in massive outdoor environments, here is where vehicular combat comes into its own. Flying and driving machines take combatants to the frontline and gigantic mobile battle stations serve as a platform from which to launch devastating attacks.

* Vehicles - Rev-up and ride out in an array of land-, air-, and space-based vehicles that play critical roles in a successful combat strategy in Assault and Onslaught. With vehicles ranging from single man fighters to five man behemoths, Unreal Tournament 2004 provides players with plenty of choices when shopping for a mechanized implement of destruction.

* Levels - More than 95 maps will be available immediately, including more than 45 brand new maps for all existing game play modes as well as new modes of play. Vast outdoor environments, deep space combat areas and tightly packed indoor techno-arenas are all waiting for the latest entrants to the Tournament.

* Weapons - The entire smorgasbord of frag-dealing weaponry from Unreal Tournament 2003 returns for the experienced player to wield masterfully against new contestants. Those armaments are joined by three new implements of doom: the Mine layer, which disperses spider-like bombs that chase and harass any enemy that comes within range; the anti vehicle rocket launcher, or AVRiL, which deals out a payload of massive rockets tuned to seek and destroy enemy mechanized units; the Grenade Launcher, which launches timed explosives that will bounce on the ground and stick to enemies and enemy vehicles, only to be triggered by the weapons altfire command; and, the return of the notorious Sniper Rifle from the original Unreal tournament, completely redesigned and upgraded to make heads roll.

* New Characters - Unreal Tournament 2004 introduces 32 new characters on four new teams: The human Thunder Crash, lead by Tournament hero, Malcolm; the Robotic Corrupt, lead by an upgraded Xan Kriegor; the Iron Skull, a team of merciless Skaarj warriors; and the Hellions -- wreckless human mercenaries and pirates who delight in the thrill of the kill.

* New Technology - Unreal Tournament not only brings new content for hardcore fans to relish, it also delivers a tremendous technology update over its predecessor, delivering a faster, slicker, deeper experience than ever before.
