In the wake of Caesar II, Impressions Software and Sierra Studios immerse us once again in the brutal and beautiful world of the ~Roman Empire with their newest creation, Caesar III. In this newest addition to the Caesar line of real-time strategy games, you'll construct vast cities filled with legendary architecture, including towering citadels, massive townhouses and the open-air Amphitheater that even today stands as a symbol of the great Roman civilization. While Caesar III is comparable to the SimCity series in the city-building aspect, the game does have one major additional aspect, namely, war. If you actually manage to create a decent city, you may also want to defend it. You'll have to construct massive armies and perfect cunning strategies to keep your city from burning to the ground. Don't expect it to be easy, though, as Caesar III contains a solid contingent of evil and nefarious warlords, all eager to destroy your civilization. ~ Brian Arnold, All Game Guide |
