Another victory for Pink Zinic

Winter is coming closer and closer. More often in our cities temperature is going under 0 degree. But our beautiful players from Pink Zinic always have something hot for us. Like yesterday’s match against spanish team badGirlsclan.

After not good enough match between Franfurt 69ers where Pink Zinic lost, girls want to play as best as they can and proof one more time that they are the best female team in this league. Pink Zinic wins very easly with spanish team losing only 6 rounds in whole match.

Most valuable player in match was inzane with overal score 20:10 (frags and deaths).

That was our last match in groupstage. Pink Zinic with 12 points will advance to next stage from second place. Winner from group A is german team Frankfurt 69ers who won all their matches.

Soon more information about next stage will be posted so stay tuned for updates on your first hand source for news from female esport community!

Pink Zinic at DH09

On the 26.11.2009 in Jönköping, Sweden, Dreamhack winter 2009 will take place and Pink Zinic will be there to participate in the tournament and meet with the fans. After nisse left the team, girls were looking for the fifth player who can fit both their game style and character. After hours of searching for the perfect match, they’ve found Julie. Now, the new Pink Zinic roster will have an opportunity to present themselves to a larger crowd. Doing great in ESL Major Series, they want to prove to skeptics that girls can also win something big against guys.

Also on Wednesday, Julie is going to have a photo shoot in Copenhagen, Denmark, after which the whole Pink Zinic management team together with beautiful German will head to Sweden by car picking up zAAz and IpSa on their way to Jönköping. Inzane is going straight to Dreamhack town from Stockholm and Irene flys from Spain to Gothenburg and takes a bus to have a safe ride. Whole Pink Zinic meets up at night, day before the official start.

Girls will have to face top notch teams as Dreamhack is known for having best players on every tournament. Four Swedish world class teams, SK Gaming, MYM, H2K and Begrip will be there. To make it even more interesting Danes from mTw and Spirit of Amiga are coming as well. Teams from a cross the ocean will join DH. Evil Geniuses and compLexity will do their best to defeat the opponents but USA is not famous for having good Counter Strike teams. We’ll find out in what shape they are very soon.

First matches will be played on Thursday at 17:00 CET. Stay tuned and cheer for Pink Zinic!

Read short interview with zAAz just before she went to Jönköping.

What are your goals for tournament?

Our goal is to try and play as good as possible and of course, we hope to beat many boy-teams.

Did you have any special form of preparation for the tournament?

We played and played and that’s actually because we took a new player, so we had to practice with her as we had to feel, how it is to play with her and of course so that we can get used to the new situation.

How do you feel about Julie joining Pink Zinic?

It feels really good with her in the team. She knows how to play and that’s what we need/want in this team. So Welcome once again Julie!

Pink Zinic is like a hurricane; unstoppable. After first two matches you lost only 5 rounds which is amazing. Is there anybody who can stop you from winning EMS again?

We all in the team only want to win. It’s the first thing we think about, and yes of course having fun in-game as well, but we don’t have any problems with that. We will do our best again so it shouldn’t be any problem but of course we all know that the last thing you should do is to not underestimate any team at all.. Wish us good luck all out there!

Who will be your toughest opponent, are you able to fight against top male teams?

I think BTB and mouseports will be our hardest opponents. Yes, I have answered a lot on that question and I got a bit tired of it.. Everyone knows what had happened vs. top male teams so we should just skip that question. But only god knows what will happen in the future, maybe it will come a day there every female own the guys :o.. Hehe kidding =)

Attending Dreamhack means signing autographs and taking pictures, do you consider yourself as a star? Do you feel like one?

Is it okey if I lie a little bit? Nah haha, tbh.. sometimes it feels like I am a star especially when I am out on a event and when people coming to me and asking for photos and autographs. It’s like a really good feeling. Always when stuff like that happens I think like “Oh god so I am a “famous” girl for real…” Haha…

I wanna say Hi to my fans out there and thanks for all your support.. Keep cheering for us it really makes us happy!
Have a good day and take care.. Peace out!

Zinic auction: lowest price in Europe

Christmas is getting closer. Time inasmuch shopping frenzy soon in our country. Here comes with the help our portal Zinic Auction. Site where you can buy high-end electronics and more, in the incredibly low prices. In our equipment worth hundreds of euros may be yours only for a fraction of that amount.

Where is the catch? What exactly is Zinic Auction? Well, our site is not a typical auction portal. You can not bid on item to determine the maximum amount you’re willing to spend on an item. We offer you a completely different system and that you decide that you more responsible.

On our site you’ll find two types of auction. The first of these are auctions where the price of Xpress subject is obscured. However, using the appropriate amount of credits your eyes will see a unique product price only visible to you. Each time the test lead to the reduction in price by 20 cents. When you find that the price that you see is low enough for you simply buy an item. Don’t hesitate for too long, or someone else may snatch up the item at a more favourable price.

The second option, which you can find on our website is a system based on this that whoever wins the auction alone will give the lowest price. If it is incomprehensible for you. Let me quote an example. Imagine that you bid on the item with you and 5 other users. Each of you has a price. Wins, which alone give the lowest amount. So let’s assume that 2 members decided to pay 1 euro, another deuce wants to pay 3 euros and the last person is ready to spend 4 euros and it was he who wins the auction because it was the only reported the lowest possible price, which is not offered to other participants in the auction.

So you can see what is easy? So do not wait and open an account for Zinic Auction today and buy the cheapest in Europe!

EMS Season V Playday 3

Welcome to myzinic.com EMS CS 1.6 female coverage. Playday 3 is on and as always, there are matches you can’t miss. Even though Pink Zinic has its match postponed to December due to Dreamhack 2009 which our team is taking part in, there are still games that might get you interested. Unfortunately eXcellentia vs ESC ICY BOX EMS and eSuba.sapphire ladies vs Ladies.EMS were both played with ESC ICY BOX EMS and eSuba.sapphire ladies winning their matches 10-16 and 16-4. eXcellentia is in bad position right now as they have lost already two games out of two played.

Girls from Czech Republic are on the winning strike with two wins and will have their chance to make third one with German team called SNOGARD Dragons on the 24th of November. badGirlsclan is going to play against Infernal Gamers on the 26th of November. This match is looking pretty easy for the Spanish teams as they are second in group A (behind Pink Zinic) with two won games. Germans lost their first game to Pink Zinic.

Aurora Gaming from Denmark is playing their second game as well. After losing to Burning!, Danes have a chance to get back on track and win with Guardians, team that has also lost one map. Team SPEEDLINK is in the same situation as Aurora. They need to pull out some nice game against Burning! to be counted as one of the favorites to leave the group. So far they are not doing well, but they still can surprise us.

Interview with the man behind Pink Zinic

After reading my first article, you definitely know what’s female gaming. Now, I’ll try to be more specific and in today’s column we are going to discuss if gaming for girls is pure fun or even can make it to be a full-time job with proper payment.

Professional teams, usually supported by sponsors who give money for everything, have prepared salaries for their players which are written in players contracts. Sometimes it’s quite a big number, like for example over $10,000 for Warcraft 3 super-star Moon and even more for Korean Starcraft pro-gamers. Obviously female gamers, especially in Counter-Strike, are far far away from that.

Females even though they could be attached to a team, have almost no support at all. From what I know in Europe there are 3 or 4 teams which pay their players regularly with not more than 200 euros a month per player.

The reason for that is pretty simple, there are only a few teams which actually play good enough to place top3 on every tournament that has at least some prize money, which are very rare these days and always have been (ESWC marked the highlight for female gaming so far concerning prize money). Moreover, some of them even have to pay for themselves to attend an offline tournament while being ’supported’ by their team. To give you an example I’ll go back to Pan-European Tournament (again) where some of the top 10 teams were actually sponsored by the parents and not by a sponsor or their team.

Most of those girls play for 0 euro a month and they don’t even get a chance to take part in LAN tournaments, while being used by their team to promote the brand with photos or other stuff. That sounds a little bit unfair to me. Take girls from mousesports or Pink Zinic for example. They look good, play almost full time like the guys, win tournaments and still earn 10 times less than male professionals. Probably some of them could make more money out of modeling than gaming.

There is something similar between esports journalists and female players. We don’t make money out of it but we love what we do, that’s why even though sometimes people are harsh on us, we still write and try to elevate our craft to another level. It is similar with female gaming; even though they don’t get rich with it they do it cause they love what they do. And even though many people still don’t respect girls playing Counter-Strike, in the end they all come back and discuss about it.

For now, female gaming needs more girls playing so it can grow and the competition can get higher, because due to that also girls can become better players after all. When that is reached, more organizations might be interested in having a girls team as there might be a chance to have more tournaments with higher prize money which give the team also more exposure.

Below you’ll read an interview with Christian Bo Sachmann and learn more about somebody, who made Pink Zinic possible. Pros and cons as well as, why they are not full time paid female gamers.

myZinic.com: Who you were before getting interested in esports?

Christian Bo Sachmann: I was Founder and CEO of SPONSORMATIC ApS. Sponsormatic was Denmark’s leading provider of rotating sign solutions to the largest Danish football and handball clubs. Sponsormatic provided LED solutions and had been the leading seller of perimeter sport marketing rights in Denmark. Sponsormatic also had various commercial co-operations with clubs and federations in Handball for Poland, Norway and Iceland. In 2007 SPONSORMATIC sold the main sponsorship for the Polish National Team in Handball due to the World Cup in Germany.

Sponsormatic had provided more than 80% of all the rotating sign solutions to the Danish market. As the first sport marketing company, Sponsormatic had facilitated LED systems to important TV-matches on a rental basis. Since 2005, Sponsormatic had acquired and resold sports marketing rights directly to approx. 100 companies wishing to market themselves via perimeters and jersey sponsorships.
In 2006 SPONSORMATIC became SPORTFIVE, Denmark, since SPORTFIVE acquired the sport & marketing company´s of Formation Group.

In July 2008 I joined ESNATION (Meet Your Makers) as International Sales Director in order to build up a portfolio of strategic and business partners. As you know the financial crises came and ESNATION went bankrupt.

When did the idea of making a female team emerge in your head?

I have a strong passion for E-sport and Counter Strike and after ESNATION I wanted to stay connected to it. Then I asked myself one simple question: How to attract the attention from sponsors and how to generate attention from the E-sport community? Well, the answer you already know, Pink Zinic! What is it that young boys always looking for? Nice, good looking girls. I am working on to bring new sponsors to the E-sport scene. I mean sponsors we have never seen before in E-sport. I believe that in 2010 we will witness some new Brands in E-sport as 2009 was the year to get Zinic up and prepare many things that finally can be shown to the public next year and some of those new things will be big! The key to the success is to expand the marking platform from hard core to casual gamers and female audience, too. My wildest dream is to have a large portfolio of sponsors and then give it back to the community again. I am a entrepreneurial guy so I have many ideas, but we have to wait and see!

Female gaming is very underestimated, why?

- Female gaming is very underestimated, because it is “new”. I think that the year 2009 was the year when Female gaming got ON - expanded. See ESL now having a female tournament on Balkan - see The European Female Tournament in Poland etc. I see a lot of potential in this - female sing star is popular, female sports athletes are popular etc. Boys & Men will always find good looking girls interesting especially if the can perform on a high level.

What are the pros in having a female based team?

I want to name only one major pro: From a marketing point of view we get attention much more easier compared to a boys team as I need there a very good boys team and provide a lot of sponsors to pay them. Pink Zinic came from the “pink” sky from nowhere. For example 48 hour after our Press meeting - media all over the world wrote a news about us (also the none E-Sports press). I am not sure we would have gotten the same attention if I started a boys team.

Why girls are having such low salaries compared to males?

Do they? I think we always keep forgetting that a lot of boys don’t get any salary at all and that only the very top teams are paid high amount of money every month. We pay their the girl’s accommodation, travel, food, etc. as well. When more money comes into the E-sport industry the salary will get higher as well. But right now, even if we would invest way more money, we would not get the return.

What is needed to make girl gaming bigger?

Much patience and money. All E-sport clubs should have a female squad in any discipline. All of us need to inform and tell all potential sponsors about the uniqness of E-sport and all fans should show loyalty to the sponsors - not only by buying the products - but by communicate the “thank you sponsor for supporting E-Sports”. They will recognize your engagement by posted comments, facebook, twitter or by visiting their web shops.

What are the current goals of Pink Zinic?

- To be the world’s best female Counter Strike team, to win all tournaments we attend and to be role model for other fans and other young people. Despite to that we try to make female gaming itself bigger, and I as I mentioned above, 2010 will bring some interested news from our side here.

Photo shoots. Why are you having them and does it have any impact on sponsors?

The reason for having a photo shoots is to inform the potential sponsors about the options and opportunities. Nobody really knows anything about female gamers and many even don’t know what E-Sports is. So we have to picture them what kind of girls do we have in our Pink Zinic team. Then the sponsors see the girls - then they start to think. When the financial crisis pass, then the sponsors begin to think outside the box and are finally willing to invest more money again.

Thanks you for the interview!
Thank you. Keep on rocking girls!

Julie: We’re going Dreamhack soon!

Hey Guys!

Now it’s time for me to tell you what I’m doing and what I’m thinking right now.

As you’ve noticed I am the new addition to Pink Zinic and I actually feel really good with it. I’ve been playing CS for 8 years and I’ve joined my first team at the beginning of 2009. Currently I am playing more and more CS to get on a higher level because I know I can be better. The first two matches with Pink Zinic went very well, there is always so much fun with the girls and I am happy that we won first matches with a high score! I haven’t felt motivated like this for a long time.

But I am not only practicing with the team (we play 3-4 hours every day). Currently I am searching for a field of study. Right now I am going to an extended school to get a good grade and study at the university I will apply for next year. It’s hard for me to find the perfect field of study because I am interested in lot of things, and I want to study it all! ;D So I am looking for any further information about studying at college on the internet and through friends. But anyway, the good news is that if I won’t find any suitable major, I will become a trainee as an insurance clerk next year! So whatever comes up to me, everything will go well.

Next week we are going to Dreamhack in Sweden. All flights are booked and trust me; I am really excited to fly alone. Although I flew many times before, it feels like if it would be the first time for me! That’s the end of my first blog and I hope you liked it. Maybe we will meet on Dreamhack =)

Bye Bye!

EMS: Pink Zinic vs Flawless

Today, 8 matches will be played in the second playday of ESL Major Series. Our girls will face Polish team named Flawless which includes known nicknames like shilla or DeeDee but after winning 16 - 1 against German Infernal Gamers; Pink Zinic shouldn’t lose this one. Especially with statement from the Flawless girls:

Hello

Well, tomorrow We will play our second match with our starts - Pink Zinic
We love this team
We are faithful fans and we take example from Pink Zinic game
We give our life for them and if we could, we would give them w/o because they are our stars :D

HF !!:D

Also, there are 7 other games to be played. Team ALNTERNATE will face PMS 1.6. Germans won over Tempus Moriendi 16 - 7 and PMS lost to mousesports 16 - 9 which was a little bit surprising. Guardians will face TBH.MSI who won over Team SPEEDLINK already and placed 1st in their group so far. Team SPEEDLINK will play against unFinished. They need to focus right now and get back on track.

Mousesports is going to play against ESC ICY BOX EMS. Russians have to start playing just like they did on PET and beat their opponents with higher scores if they want to pull out a nice game against Pink Zinic once more. The reason for this might be roster change. Olga Pak swapped with Elena Urusova. We will see if that was a good change or not very soon.

Girls from iNNERFiRE who lost their first match to eSuba.sapphire ladies, will now face French Be-The-Best. Tempus Moriendi who lost to PMS 1.6 will play against eXcellentia. It’s going to be the first match Swedes and big chance for Poles to show what they are capable of. Last but not least, Aurora Gaming starts EMS with match against Burning! who had a draw in match against unFinished. We’re definitely looking forward to that.

HLTV will be provided for all matches and stay tuned for live updates here, on myzinic.com.

Ipsa: Playing on hangover

Hi everybody!

As you already know we played our first game on the esl. It was a pretty easy game. I really dont remember why we lost that one round, but it was a lot of fun!
I was actually feel really bad when we played this game. Me and my boyfriend were over at my nabours with some friends drinking yesterday and it we had a great time! We played some singing games and It was awesome! Except I had a little too much to drink and I had worse hang over ever. :( I was resting before we started playing and everytime I said something it felt like I was going to puke! Worse part is I’m ingame-leader so I had to say something each round, after that I was almost quite. Have you ever had a so strong hangover? Omg!

In one and a half week we will go to Dreamhack with our super new lineup and I am really looking forward to it. Its gonna be so fun!!! This time we will have time to hang out with Julie a lot wich we didnt do as much before since she played in another team and there has always been “rivalry” between teams you know, so a lot of fun, wi!

Next weekend zAAz is planing to coming over to my place to hang out, play and maybe drink! My boyfriend also has his birthday next friday and I really dont know what to get him! Some suggestions ;D? How ever we will have a blast, like we always do, me and zAAz! Höhö.

Thanks for this time, Adios!

Pink Zinic in ESL Major Series Season V

After a few weeks break for Zinic in which the two qualification rounds took place, we finally now know the teams that have advanced to the group stage. Four groups with the top3 teams advancing to the playoffs have be drawn. Pink Zinic girls were seeded directly and were placed in group A with teams like Frankfurt 69ers or ROX.KIS.Ladies who won over eSuba.sapphire Ladies yesterday. To see how all the groups were setup go:

http://www.esl.eu/eu/ems/season5/csf/mainround/rankings/

It looks like the teams were divided very well no to have more than 1 or two favorites in one group. Group A is all about Pink Zinic and Frankfurt 69ers. Group B has mousesports and Team ALTERNATE, although Germans may have slight problems after loosing Julie. There is group C which has teams that are not commonly known besides iNNERFiRE. But even though people will be watching group A and B matches, I suggest you to take a look at group D where we have Aurora Gaming and Team SPEEDLINK which are eager to show that Pan-European Tournament performance was just a bad day.

GROUP A:
# Pink Zinic
# badGirlsclan
# Frankfurt 69ers
# Flawless
# Infernal Gamers
# RoX.KIS.Ladies

Pink Zinic girls will have their first match tomorrow on the 12th of November. They will play against German team called Infernal Gamers at 21:00 with HLTV providing a live stream. Team manger, Jonas ‘The1Crow’ Gebhardt, gave a pre-match statement on ESL:

“Tomorrow we start in the new ESL Major Series with the first match against Infernal. Obviously there is quite some pressure on us as we come as the reigning champions from last season, though we don’t mind about that too much and just want to do one thing this season, which is to defend our title and become number one yet another time.

As we wrote already on our homepage www.myzinic.com a few days ago, we feel stronger as ever before which is also affected by the fact that Julie just joined us and strengthens the team.

Despite to that every single player in our team is highly motivated and we are looking forward to proof this tomorrow in the first match.

HF & GL!”

What are your aims as a team for upcoming EMS?

mouz|svetaska: To be honest, it’s hard for me to call only one opponent who could put us in trouble on our way to top. Pink Zinic will play hard against us I think. They want to take revenge on us for sure. BTB was playing good some time ago and we lost all matches versus them. But we didn’t play against them for a pretty long period of time, so I don’t know what we can expect. Also german teams are playing very well. I think the most dangerous for us is Alternate and Snogard. It was always hard to play against Germans, maybe because we have the same gaming style. Can’t tell anything about others, and to be honest I don’t know much teams from the EMS participants list. And one more thing - it’s the Internet. Anything can happen here.

zinic|Irene: I think mouz/unFinished/BtB can be our hardest opponents. Why? Mouz won us last month in Poland at Pan-Tournament in the final. unFinished is a team with experienced players who have to be taken seriously and BtB has good roster and since I know most of them quite good I’ll say they can make things not easy for us. I will also say that there are other teams I haven’t mentioned with level high enough that we can’t underestimate them.

Who and why will be the hardest opponent in upcoming EMS for you?

mouz|svetaska: Generally, we’re aiming to get to EMS LAN finals. I know there will be a lot of really good teams in, so we can get more experience and try our team force in the best European league. So we should do very good performance to get to finals and we will try to do it for sure.

zinic|Irene: I would like to show everyone that we have improved as a team and prove that we can win this season again. I also hope that we can do it without losing any single match/map and play against all the top teams!

powerka left BenQ DELTAeSPORTS.COM

Some things are changing. Those changes are also visible on myZinic. From now on our site will be your first hand source about happenings in the female Counter - Strike community. We will present you news, interviews and interesting articles regarding girls who are playing Counter-Strike.

Due to exams which will take place in May, Polish player Eliza ‘powerka‘ Szczepaniak decided to left her current team BenQ DELTAeSPORTS.COM and focus on study to pass the exam as best as she can. Will the managment find another talented girl which can play on a highlevel in tournaments? As eSports is big in Poland that didn’t seem to be a problem and new player under the Delta tag will be former Universal Soldiers player nenna, 19 years old girl from the little city Nasielsk in Poland.

We yet have to find out if that may help the team to improve in Europe. Altough Delta lost their first match with the new roster against Russian ROX.KIS.Ladies 0:2 in the qualifier for the upcoming ESL Major series (where we also will see Pink Zinic in action in about 2 weeks) but one match does not prove anything.

Current roster for BenQ DELTAeSPORTS.COM looks as follow:

* agatha
* blondynka
* rybka_k
* Cia
* nenna

myZinic also caught Natalia (nenna) for short interview about their first match and atmosphere in the new team.

How can you describe the atmosphere in new team and what was reaction of your teammates when they heard that you will replace powerka?

We didn’t have much time yet to play togheter but the atmosphere is very good in my opinion. Girls were satisfied that I joined team and about that I’m good team player.

What can you tell us about your first match against ROX.KIS.Ladies in EMS?

Our game in EMS wasn’t very good. This is due to the fact that we can’t play with our standard lineup and powerka had to actually replace Cia. I hope that next time our matches will be better and we will qualify to next round.

We wish best of luck new Delta player and the highest rates on powerka’s exams.

IpSa about preparations for Poland

Hi, everybody!

It has been a while since I wrote a blog. I haven’t been doin’ anything special lately, just working as usual but I have started to work out! Only two times a week but its a start for now :) I am considering to also start something called “box” as well. It is a type of training where you use your hands and feet just like “boxing” moves.

Recently I have been playing a lot of CSDM and mixes, since we are going to Poland from 2nd-4th october, so gotta start preparing. Of course we will pracc to that event together in the team as well! We started practicing the 17th of this month and forward, probably from 18 till 23 o’clock every day. If you want to play against us just write to me on mIRC and we can find a time when we can play or leave a comment below this news.

I have come up with a lot of new ideas on what we need to change since Germany in our game so it will be fun to start practicing and fix the mistakes we did in the past. Always fun to try out the new tactics that I’ve thought of and to see how they work out. I am so looking forward to this event in Poland, so many great teams that are going and I have never been to Poland!

Out new player Irene is coming to LAN here in Sweden with me prior to the event. She will be here from the 26th of September till 1st of October when we leave together with the whole team from Copenhagen airport to Warsaw. I have been thinking of teaching her some other Swedish words so she can catch up better ingame, so far she has done a terrific job on learning the positions in Swedish and overall understanding our game. I think it is really fun to start doin this ingame-part in English as we now have a mix of talking Swedish and English. It is so challenging but I think we did good in Germany! I also get to speak more Spanish wich I only usually do when I talk to my mom or my sister. LOVING IT! xD

Well, well, that was it for this time I guess. I am going to write a new blog in a couple of weeks again so, keep up following here on the page. Keep up with all of our blogs! ;)

One more thing you have to do for me please! Sign up at www.zinicauction.com, I tried it out and it was actually really fun. I love to find new stuff for my PC or just check out new phones that I would like or a new Ipod! I also like the part where you have to bid and get the lowest prize to get the product. Overall I just think its fun, haha. Even though I haven’t really figured it all out it was really fun to try it out, haha.

Inzane: I’m excited about Poland

Hi all! How are you all? As for my part, I am doing just great!

I am actually not home in Stockholm right now, but writing to you from Degerfors, a small town in Sweden and I am here because my boyfriend is living here. Feel free to guess his name in the comments hehe

It is alot smaller then Stockholm were I live, but I like it here anyways because there are not as much people running around everywhere like I am used to. It is calm and cosy here :)

Today we were out for shopping some clothes in a bit bigger city called Orebro, found some cool stuff, a nice pair of jeans and a purple sweater which is really cosy and a pair of leggings.

Today it is Friday but I amm not sure what we are gonna do yet, maybe we are going out with a couple of friends and having some beers, haven’t decieded yet. The other alternative would be to just stay inside with a movie and relax. Time will tell! ;) What did you do on this Friday?

Enough about me for now!

We got an event in Poland in less then three weeks, at beginning of October. There was a news post with information about it earlier on our page, just scroll down a bit on the frontpage. If you read this news you will notice that there actually will be some good teams there from whole Europe but we anyways really wanna win that event aswell as we won the Major Series IV. Lately we all liked to smell the sweet taste of victory again, and it is just that you always want more and can’t stop.

We got a new player as you already have read on our site, switched out Cazzidy with iRene. We won the last event with her and I think and hope we will win this aswell with her support as she is now practicing with us on a regularly basis and just fits so great in the time - it was the right choice to get her in, without any doubts!

It will also be the first time I am in Poland and feel kinda excited about going there. Always fun visiting new countries, meet new people and fans from all over the world. Don’t know what Poland will be like, probably a fun country with maybe some cool party places!

Doesn’t really have much more to tell you guys for now, just let you know that we will practise hard and do our best in Poland and try to not let our fans down.

You will hear more from me soon!

Hugs, sophie ;-)))

P.S.: Don’t forget to visit www.zinicauction.com - you can find products there that are cheaper then everywhere else, give it a try!

iReNuKa to replace Cazzidy permanently

iReNuKa to replace Cazzidy permanently
It is with sad news that we today say good bye to one of our players, Anette “cazzidy” Skarderud. After playing professionally for many years, she has decided to put less time in her gaming career.

Already during the ESL Major Series IV playoffs in Germany where Pink Zinic took the overall victory and proved themselves to be one of the world’s best female Counter-Strike teams, with Irene ‘iReNuKa’ Sanchez a stand in player came into the team as Cazzidy was not able to attend the event. Now, due to personal reasons Cazzidy decided after very well consideration to not play Counter-Strike anymore on a competitive level which results in parting ways with Pink Zinic.

Instead of her, Spanish player iReNuKa from bad Girls clan will become a permanent member of the Pink Zinic team. She signed her players contract today and starts practicing with IpSa, zAAz, nisse and inzane shortly.

We are highly convinced about the strength and skill of Irene. She will be able to bring fresh wind and energy to the team and improve our gameplay. Further she will bring a lot of experience that she collected after being more then ten years active in the scene. She will be in action with Zinic for the first time in early October at the Cybersports female Counter-Strike tournament in Poland.

The whole team would also say a big thank you to Cazzidy and all the good time we had with her. She has always been an excellent tactical leader and person which makes us sad to let her go at this point.

Zinic to attend Pan-European Tournament

The female Counter-Strike scene gets yet another big boost, as lately the Polish league operator Cybersport.pl announced a 6000 Dollar tournament which is only opened for female teams. Ten of the finest teams for Europe as well as two Polish teams will battle it out for this impressive price money in Lodz, Poland which is close to the city Warsaw.

Today we are proud to be able to announce that also Pink Zinic will travel to Poland in order to attend this event. As the current ESL Major Series champion our expectations are high - without any doubt! Once again the goal for this event is clear as nothing else then a victory counts. We are confident about our skills and team play and it will be necessary to practice a lot and come up with new strategies if want to be able to take down some of the greatest teams from Europe and Russia there.

Pink Zinic will attend the event with the following lineup:

Sofie ‘nisse’ Adolfsson
Zainab ‘zAAz’ Turkie
Sophie ‘inzane’ Regner
Mayra ‘IpSa’ Perez
Irene ‘iReNuKa’ Sanchez

Jonas ‘The1Crow’ Gebhardt (Team Manager)

Despite to the female tournament also a male tournament will take place with ex-WICKED, Frag eXecutors and BenQ DELTAeSPORTS.COM playing.

Pink Zinic dominates female scene

More then 245.000 people from all over the world gathered on the weekend in Cologne, Germany in order to celebrate games, passion and have fun at the largest gaming exhibition called GamesCom 2009.

Different publishers and companies presented their latest products though hall 9 of the GamesCom was exclusively dedicated to the world of eSports where also the ESL had their huge gaming area in which the Counter-Strike starlets from Pink Zinic proofed once again to still be the world’s best female Counter-Strike team as they came up as the champions in the ESL Major Series Season IV. But until there it was a long way.

After weeks of offline played group stage matches Zinic was finally able to attend as one of four teams the big offline playoffs in Germany. More then 1000 people were following the Pink Zinic action from home when they faced the German team of Snoogard Dragon on Friday in the semi-finals, where the ladies won on tuscan with 16:13 and 16:11 on inferno.

In the grand final on Saturday it was Team Alternate waiting for Pink Zinic already. Not an easy task, as the girls around their captain Julie proofed before to be a top notch team which is able to win against every team, especially with having a huge German fan crowd cheering. But Pink Zinic’s lineup which looked like this:

Sofie ‘nisse’ Adolfsson
Zainab ‘zAAz’ Turkie
Sophie ‘inzane’ Regner
Mayra ‘IpSa’ Perez
Irene ‘iReNuKa’ Sanchez

Jonas ‘The1Crow’ Gebhardt ( Team Manager )

proofread that pressure makes them only stronger. When Zinic and Alternate entered the main stage thousands of people were following the girls in the ESL eSports arena which was totally crowded. ESL TV celebrated those finals as well with a big show and a couple of thousands of people from all over the world witnessed high class Counter-Strike action.

Zinic took the lead on the first map Tuscan and convinced with a clear 16-9 victory. After a short break dust2 should promise more action, though the girls weren’t able to dominate here and lost this map with a close 13-16. After a one hour break, Pink Zinic was back with full concentration and didn’t leave Alternate any chance on inferno which brought up a 16-6 victory. With that result Pink Zinic won the ESL Major Series with 2-1 the second time in a row - even though Cazzidy couldn’t participate this time and a stand in from Spain was necessary.
