Not sure whether this would go under webcam or broadcast, but it seems more like broadcast related bug in this case. I tried starting a broadcast with just Webcam selected while playing Left 4 Dead 2 Demo. The game crashed "Left4Dead2.exe has stopped working...", but Xfire is still showing me playing the game and is still showing me as broadcasting! Also, xfencoder.exe is still running and using CPU time, as if it is doing something even though the game has not been running for quite some time now. Game: Left 4 Dead 2 Demo OS: Windows 7 RC 64-bit Webcam: Logitech QuickCam Chat with forced Vista drivers The game crashing would be one thing, possibly caused by the forced drivers, but the actual bug is that Xfire is still seemingly broadcasting and showing me as being in game even though the game is no longer running. EDIT: Even killing xfencoder.exe did not reset the status. Even logging off and back on didn't reset the status. Had to restart Xfire completely. _______________ |

| Did you have the cam already enabled and then began broadcasting or did you begin broadcasting and then enabled the cam from the broadcast dialog box? | ||

I had the camera overlay enabled when I tried to start broadcasting, but in the dialog that asks for the broadcast title and what to broadcast, neither of the options were selected (I think...), so I selected the web cam one and didn't select the game footage. The game crashed the moment I clicked the green OK button in that in-game dialog. _______________ |

And this information just came in: Even though I restarted Xfire to clear the broadcasting status, it still says to my friends that I am broadcasting. It seems like Xfire client does not remove "broadcasting" status from friends when they log off while broadcasting. _______________ |

Same latency problems as before when starting a broadcast. I'd link to the thread, but the my posts button on the forums is missing, so I can't find it currently.

You do realize that when you use about 80%+ of you available upload you are going to lag right? You should post a speed test and what resolution and quality settings you are broadcasting at, I bet you are filling up you upstream thus causing the lag. _______________ ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE AM3 @ 3.5Ghz(OC) | 4Gb DDR3 Memory @ 1600mhz | Sapphire ATI HD4870 1GB 800mhz/1000mhz(OC) | 2x500GB HDD's Raid 0 | Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Build 7600 (RTM) | Windstream DSL 12m(14.9m Sync)/600k(766k Sync) |

I will merely restate what i did in the forum thread. the very day of the update I was broadcasting using the Dyno system, and had no issues what-so-ever. Xfire closed (WHILE I WAS PLAYING TEAM FORTRESS 2) for the update. I restarted my game and Xfire (with the new livestream in place). I restarted my broadcast, and my latency skyrocketed. It is not my connection sir, it was the change over to livestream that caused the problem. In short. Before the update to live stream I HAD NO PROBLEMS BROADCASTING. After the update to livestream online games are unplayable while broadcasting. Clear enough? _______________ |

Livestream uses more bandwidth then dyno did everyone need to accept that fact. Again I/we need to know what your internet connection speed is (a speed test would be nice) and what resolution and quality settings you are broadcasting at, and with or without sound. _______________ ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE AM3 @ 3.5Ghz(OC) | 4Gb DDR3 Memory @ 1600mhz | Sapphire ATI HD4870 1GB 800mhz/1000mhz(OC) | 2x500GB HDD's Raid 0 | Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Build 7600 (RTM) | Windstream DSL 12m(14.9m Sync)/600k(766k Sync) |

And no, everyone doesn't have to accept that. They claimed they changed over to livestream because it was an improvement, and it's been anything but. As soon as the change went live, the tech support forums blew up with broadcasting issues. _______________ |

The problem is Dyno needed a plugin witch I'm sure included a good bandwidth efficient codec, Livestream uses flash wich only supports only so many codecs none of witch probable don't come close to what dyno could do with the limited bandwidth. P.s. I don seed where you listed your internet speed. That would help to know that. Would it be nice to see dyno again, maybe for the low bandwidth users, but proably not gonna happen I sure their was financial reasons for the switch and since Xfire is free you cant say to much. And you have to accept that some thing online require alot of bandwidth, try letting a torrent problem upload at about 45-50KB/sec if you lag then, you just don't have the upload required. _______________ ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE AM3 @ 3.5Ghz(OC) | 4Gb DDR3 Memory @ 1600mhz | Sapphire ATI HD4870 1GB 800mhz/1000mhz(OC) | 2x500GB HDD's Raid 0 | Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Build 7600 (RTM) | Windstream DSL 12m(14.9m Sync)/600k(766k Sync) |

I've been getting "0 viewers" for the last few releases now. It seems to happen only when someone watches in Internet Explorer. When they're using Firefox, I see the viewer. I am unsure about other browsers.
