Congratulations to *CBs* , they were able to defend their title, with a score of 13-7, in their final match against [SeF], who previously defeated =MaveXII= 12-8.

I'm really glad to have won in the final match.
We were training really hard for the custom maps and learned to get used to the high pings.
i guess that's how we won in the final again.. I think

CBs has obviously a better team-play, they knew what to do when we were still wondering where to go before every round. We werent prepared to play such an aggressive and skilled team, we not even trying to counter them now we playing them more. I think they worked more than us to win this and they deserved it.

the winner's bracket semi-finals and the newly introduced loser's-bracket are starting now and we're eager to see whether there is still hope for a comeback of our quarterfinal losers

After a little delay we can finally start with the playoffs. 8 teams are left, fighting for gold. The first time in wl, losing in the playoffs doesn't mean it's over. There will be a loser-bracket for the ones who did not succeed in the "winnerscup". Further details will be given at the end of the week.
There are some changes from groupstage to playoffs:
Teams will be able to choose their own map out of all the maps that have been played in this cup so far(all officials and the 4 custom ones). Teams will have to tell their opponent which map they'll play at least 2 days before the match is being played (the first team mentioned in the cuptree tells their map first). There will also be a match-admin spectating your match. This is why the matches need to be scheduled as soon as possible in order to be able to plan this properly! As some of you might have noticed already, the 1st matchweek was moved one week by the wl system. This means your first match does not have to be played this week(but can if u want), instead you have some more time to train^^

This is actually pretty useful as all of you can ask questions, related to this cup, which might be added to the faq(if needed), for everyone to see, instead of answering every single one personally. The different timezones for example will be added soon to make it easier for players(who are too lazy to look it up themselves^^) in different timezones to schedule matches.

hoho, time for some update. As most of you know the official start has been moved to monday 25th january, which gives teams still some time to signup till sunday 10pm cet. Groups, 1st week's maps(vote in progress),etc.. will then be announced sometime sunday night/monday morning.
Teamleaders please read the rules carefully and clean up your squads according to them as i still see squads, which wont be able to play if they dont make some changes.
Everyone should please use their normal/known name instead of new/fake ones (it could cause unnecessary complications), update their guids and remove forbidden scripts(no mercy if ur getting caught)!
In the WL Xfire group everyone should use their clantags and names to make identification easier(for match arrangement later on). to do this simply >>click here<<(log in) and Set your league nickname: clan||nickname.
Servers are being set up and will be posted here on monday too(only...
