Mortal Kombat - Review
Mortal Kombat's genres have been around for ages. Lots of us grew up as computer graphics were coming of age and when MK came out with digitised characters that looked like real people and how we LAUGHED as we watched those real people kick, punch and tear the life from the other real people. Sure, it wasn't always the most technical or precise of fighting games, but it's always been fun, always been fluid and most importantly, always been brutal as hell.
Fans of the series will be pleased to hear that even if they've not played a Mortal Kombat title for a long time there will be plenty of familiarity right off the bat. The same basic techniques (and controls) you've been using for years. These make it instantly playable and believe me you're going to need all the help you can get. Control-wise there's a light and a heavy attack for both punches and kicks. Each of the playable characters have the same basic moves utilising the punches and kicks in combination with the direction controls to form...

Crysis 2 - Storms in to Nottingham
Crysis 2 - Storms in to Nottingham as part of GameCity
Its Thursday morning on the 28th October myself UKR DreamcastUK and RockerJarvis are on our way to town to see what this years GameCity has to offer.
When we got to market square (Town Center of Nottingham) there was a massive tent with GameCity all over it plus a EA Hub which has a number of EA pods in aswell as selling EA games at very good prices so we happen to buy two games when we was there aswell , walked passed to EA hub to start off with as it didn't look like it was open so we went into the tent which was split into two parts one which had a healthy fittness feel to it with tables of leaflets and people talking about keeping fit and playing games aswell as three Playstation 3 Pods with Virgin Active on display aswell as a Nintendo Wii version of the game and a big stand which had a bloke on a over powering mic so couldn't really hear what he was on about.
We soon left that as there was nothing in there that we was interested in...

EuroGamer Expo - Gran Turismo 5 - Hands on
Gran Turismo 5 was meant to be a launch title for the Playstation 3 and we have seen many video clips of replays aswell as lovely looking screenshots but now we got to get our hands on a playable version of the game and this is what we thought...
Sony had playable versions of this game on standard LCD televisions aswell as in funny shaped racing pods with steering wheels and also a 3D version of the game so there was something for everyone , I myself played on the standard version of the game which you could pick a choice of time trial or race mode , both of which where 9mins timed so you could pass the pad over to the next person in the queue.
The graphic looked lovely just as it looked when it was on the good old playstation way better then what was out at the time and it looks like sony is trying to do the same sort of thing , but having this game sat right next to F1 2010 which also is breathtaking didn't really standout aswell as it could of done , but the pods where going down well for the...

Ok so my name is DreamcastUK and the console was the reason alone I picked this as my gamer name and has been online ever since the days on online gaming from the Sega Dreamcast.
So this was the first game I owned on the legend of a console known as the Dreamcast so I was so glad to hear that it was heading to Xbox Live Arcade and on the Playstation Network.
I got myself a copy of it for the Xbox Live Arcade as I already own Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 on there with 200gs on both of those so I was hoping for more of the same with this one.

EuroGamer Expo - Killzone 3 : Footage & Pics
A Early game to be announced for this years EuroGamer Expo and it was a Pre Alpha code which was playable and it was in 3D so what did we think of this heavyweight of a title which should hopfuly do better then the second and first encounters well this start off by saying how close to a TV do you want to sit and play a game? The 3D glasses lead wasn't long enough to sit back quite far and if you pulled it it would come out and there wouldn't be any 3D.
Right lets talk about the game its the same old same old slugish Killzone that we have had since the Playstation 2 version of Killzone and its still as dark and as foggy as before it just felt like a tank to play and I didn't enjoy it one bit. It all felt like it was too scipted where the hellgurst would come out and the camera angle would send you into the direction to pick them off and so forth.
Yes this is a early build and it was quite buggy and slow down at times with some game freezing along the way aswell , it could be better but it...

EuroGamer Expo - Fallout 3 New Vegas : Vids
The update to Fallout 3, this game had a lot of interest surrounding it as there is quite a big fan base for Fallout as a whole and this one hopes to raise the bar another level by showcasing a full playable version of it at this year Euro Gamer Expo 2010.
There wasn’t much queuing of people around this game when I got to it so that wasn’t a good sign , but I was still standing be hide someone waiting quite a while as they where being told the controls and how to play by one of the staff member around the whole of the Fallout 3 : New Vegas section , so had to wait for him to give up playing and hand me over the pad , finally got given the pad and had to start from the very start from the menu which wasn’t good what so ever at a gaming conference because there was no audio or headset to where so couldn’t hear what the characters and storyline was telling me and had to go through a whole load of dialog and tutorials before I could even start to play the game , when I finally tutorial to and got a...
