New master snapshot 20111204 has been release

New master snapshot. Took a bit longer than the last one, but has a lot more changes as well.

For one, the old fallback for teamcolours with OpenGL 1.4+ was included again. The main target is still OpenGL 2.0, but at least it now runs on older hardware, and you can actually tell friends and foes apart. Also some work on walls and blueprints, see the changelog for details.

This is where Warzone is heading guys. If you have a fairly decent computer, download and enjoy WZ in it's revamped graphical glory. Don't forget to join the forums and comment, report bugs, give suggestions and so on.

2.3.7 is already out for a week!

Time for another 2.3 release!

Apart from the usual heap of bugfixes and translation updates, this release includes some multiplayer rebalancing to adjust for the working-again armour: MG damage to cyborgs was increased by 10%, to tracks decreased by 10%, and to bunkers decreased 5%. Cannon damage to buildings and hardpoints increased 10%, to bunkers decreased by 25%. Also, the AI got some new top level templates, which hopefully make it a bit more dangerous in the end game.

Warzone 2100 2.3.6 has been released!

After quite some time, another 2.3 release. This one fixes the armor that was ignored since 2.3.2, crashes when using translations and several other problems (see below).

There goes a 3.0 Prerelease

The Warzone 2100 Project staff bring you a new testing build for everyone's testing enjoyment. :3

This is the new 3.0 codebase, and we can use some testing to help us iron out the issues.
We do not plan to do another 2.3.x release.


Special thanks goes to (in alphabetical order):
Forum member Berg, for the TCmask models, and textures.
Corvuscorax for fixing it so you can't shoot through terrain now.
Forum member Flail13 for enabling X-player map support in FlaME 1.10 (or higher!)
Forum member MaNGusT for creating the new terrain textures and updating all the required files.

Thing to check for in this release:

* Is everything rendered correctly ?
* How do the new terrain textures look ?
* Testing that you really can't shoot through terrain.
* Testing the new MP transport, we need feedback on balance and everything else involved with it.
* Testing maps with 3/5/6/7 players. Build said maps with FlaME 1.10+ via the checkbox next to...

NOTE: The reporting of errors is on purpose, people have no idea that they were getting errors, so this was a way to notify them of these issues. This is mainly for windows & mac people since they don't run from a shell.
There is no need to submit bug reports if you don't have a actual crash.
All the maps errors need to be fixed by the authors, not us. The same goes with mods.

2.3.4 arrived yesterday!
Again there were some problems unfortunately with 2.3.3. So here it is:

And another release!

Unfortunately, 2.3.3 didn't turn out that well, it didn't fix the burn damage, and I forgot to include the newly added Korean translation in the installer... In its favour, it did include a crash fix I overlooked when writing the changelog (r11308, #2008 ).

So now we release 2.3.4, in the hope that it doesn't have serious problems and we can return to our originally planned release schedule, with about 6-8 weeks between releases. Apart from fixing the abovementioned problems there are not many other changes, mainly an update for DyDo-AI, and some translation things.
