E3 Goodness!
We'll E3 is finally winding down and I must ask, best year ever?
There is such an incredible amount of variation in games this time around compared to the previous years. You have innovative pushers like Spore and Little Big Planet. You have survival horror action games like Resident Evil 5, Left 4 Dead, and Dead Space. You also have your shooters like Gears of War 2 and Fallout...um...that's not a shooter!
You have strategy games like Empire: Total War and Starcraft 2.
And then you have the genre that's the closest to my darkened hole of a heart, the RPG. You have titles like Dragon Age and Fallout 3.. it just seems like a fantastic year for gamers and I'm just glad that god hasn't conjured his wrath on us yet.
So what are your thoughts on E3 so far? Any games you can't wait to get your paws on?
Oh and I know this isn't news per se, more like a Blogpost but it's E3.

First Look: Nvidia GeForce GTX 200 Series
Starting on June 17th the brand-spankin' new 200 series cards from Nvidia will be released.
According to PC world:
"...Nvidia promises that the GTX 280 is 1.5 times faster than a high-end 8800 / 9800-series GPU."
"While our testing continues, we can tell you that EA's Crysis ran twice as fast at 1920 by 1200-pixel resolution with 4x Anti-Aliasing..."
Personally, I don't think 1.5x the power of the 8800 is enough to warrant the top dollar price for one of those. I wont make assumptions just yet but this might be the first time I buy the ATI equivalent.

The Forums are Up! ...well one is anyways
Community Discussion is up and running and now we can chat and talk and hang-out while were not gaming or tinkering with our PCs.
Our community is small but it's going to grow even larger and soon we'll all be one big...um...yeah, empire or something.
