We at SOG strive for a fun and team oriented atmosphere to recreate as realistic a combat experience as possible. The SOG server is a place where fellow gamers can work together to advance the enjoyment of their hobby. We are not here to cater to the popular demands of the broader gaming public, but to provide an environment that fits our target audience. The very nature of our community depends on the inherent understanding from the players regarding what we are trying to accomplish. A tactical sim feel, not a run-n-gun fest.

Do you have an older PC, or Mac want to play a modern warfare FPS game but your machine is too old?
Relax, because we found a really cool older game that has been modified to a modern style, and it looks awesome! It, will play down to old Pentium II's, newer machines get great Frames Per Second and look sweet!

The game is "True Combat Elite", and runs off of an older game engine, Return to Castle Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. It's fully Punkbuster compatible, complaint, and Xfire works with it too! The Xfire part does need a small work around though, but easy to do.

MW2 My thoughts on it.
Well, Steam is giving the Call of Duty MW2 away for the week end, just a 2 day romp. Well yes free so I downloaded it and tried it. I wonder "is Battlefield Bad Co2 taking away some fame?"
To be fair I only played the game for an hour and a half straight.
The maps are very small, there is a lot of junk that is hard to figure out (meaning HUD, and killing and being killed) what is all the crap being flashed on my screen!?
I had a very hard time trying to figure out why a Harrier would hover over me and my team and kill us with pin point accuracy. First of all I realize it is a video game "not real" but a real harrier could not do that! It probable could if the maps were a life like size and the harrier was hovering a city block away from it's target. But harriers can not shoot straight down, No!, No!, No!,. That makes the game a joy-kill for me. That was Death Match.
I tried some other type of game type that looked to me like Domination. They, the game creators, did not seem...

Changing of the Name!
The name has been changed from: SOG Tactical Mod Cult to: SOG-SOB Tactical Cult. "I hope this is good news", I believe so.
Reasons:
-In a cooperative effort to bring the few members from each group, ie. SOG and SOB together to create a more formidably sized group.
-There is no longer a site link to SOG's site therefore it has been routed to the SOB's site. I will gladly change this upon request, or ALL SOG-SOB's have been given the power to change as they see fit.
-The SOG modification (MOD) to the CoDWaW was no longer being serviced to keep up to date with the current CoDWaW patches that have been released since the SOG mod was introduced. There has been 3 vital patches that have been released since the SOG mod was last serviced.
-Also on this subject the 2048 asset error has been fixed by other clans and compiled into there current mod releases. The SOG mod still has a sever and is still in service but with those minor bugs still in place.
-SOG Krag is at this time unable...
