Gamers Club News - 10/07/09
Hello Gamers!
I really have to get these post started earlier in the evening! Not a lot happening this week, but we are ramping up into the holiday release season! Lot's of great games coming up and around the corner! Let's start this off!
Game News:
* Alpha Protocol delayed, poorly
* Epic Mickey details starting to trickle out
* FIFA 10 breaks records
* FTC sticks their nose where it doesn't belong; blogs!
* Sony gets sued for firmware problems
Gamers Club News:
Not a whole heck of a lot new this week from last. Our Halo ODST day was pretty cool with a lot of Firefight and Halo 3 deathmatch throughout the day. This weeks Game Day is Wii Sports Resort. We'll be setting up in the Game Room/Rec Center again and we'll have a great time! We're still working on the details for the Halloween party, but we should have everything worked out before next weeks post!

Hey Gamers!
I'm sure you're all glad that this quarter is finally done and it's time to enjoy the summer! I know this because Xfire has been lit up by people rocking their games once again! While I'm stoked about seeing xfire alive once again, I wanted to apologize that the End of the Year party didn't end up happening. It just wasn't plausible with how few people were showing interest in it. I had a lot of plans and announcements I wanted to make at the party as well, but alas, it was not to be.
All is not lost though, for you see we have an entire summer of gaming goodness ahead of us! A few of us may have graduated and be heading off to better things, but before we bid you farewell we will have some fun this summer!
That's where you all come in! Head over to the forums and start planning and discussing ideas for fun things to do! They can be online or off, a public event or private. Just make it known that we aren't just bummin' around and being antisocial all summer! Let's get together and...

This has been a solid quarter but we're starting to wind down and get ready for summer. We're really hoping a lot of members would want to stay active over summer, in the forums, with some events, and playing games. This has been an amazing week for gaming! E3 really blew away any negative thoughts still remaining and made a great show! All of the major consoles, handhelds and even the PC had a lot to offer this year! Beyond mind-blowing games, it seems that everyone's getting into the motion control business! Project Natal from Microsoft, Motion control from Sony and even Nintendo's pulling a do-over with Wii MotionPlus! All of these seem gimmicky at first, but the first impressions demonstrate they go far beyond what we're used to! It looks like the next few years will be a the renaissance of electronic interaction! Anyway, on to news!

It's a new week in gaming and things are starting to warm up! The April showers may have come a little late, but they sure are welcoming compared to winters icy embrace. Either way, the storm tonight was really weird and creepy. Noiseless lightning, funnel clouds, and I even saw a shooting star! What a weird night, but such is life! On with news!

* - Batman Arkham Asylum delayed until August or later
* - New Fallout 3 DLC "Broken Steel" was released broken! (lol)
* - StarCraft II beta key server opens, then crashes (also lol)
