Sometimes you mysteriously get booted from Xfire with no warning or explanation, and are unable to log back in for a period of time.
It's rather inconvenient. I should know, because that's what is going on with my chat client right now.
Whether it be a server crash, or some kind of un-announced un-planned maintenance happening, or you're just that one loser that got the proverbial sand kicked in your face, I don't know.
Now, it's not fixable from what I can find. And usually one just tries to log in repeatedly, albeit futilely until one wants to punch a baby. Now, I don't advocate punching babies, and I am a believer that repeating the same action expecting a different result over and over again is a genuine sign of insanity. So, I decided to come up with some 'solutions' to this rather irritating problem.
One, stop clicking the login button. It doesn't work. The last fifty times you've pressed it should back that fact up.
Two, go read a book, or play a game anyways and maybe you'll find your friends that you wanted to play with, or try running back and forth through traffic, otherwise go do that bit of homework, chores, or otherwise more productive less desirable activity and stop procrastinating!
Three, try logging back in a few hours. It should start working again about the time you no longer have time to do what you originally set out to do. When this happens, well, you're SOL. N00b.
Alternatively use another chat client to network with your buddies. Now, I realize it isn't as versatile, or functional as X-fire, but if you're really stubborn it's probably the most direct fix to the problem.
