Procyon site closure
With the Freelancer server haven been taken offline for good, the hosting service that we're currently using for the website (http://ProcyonServer.com) is being cancelled - according to Zephyr, he's expecting the site to go dark sometime in mid-June.

With that taken into consideration, it would likely be a good idea to make local copies of any articles, posts, PMs, or other such information you may want to save for your own records - I would advise that this be done sooner rather than later, as we do not know for certain when the exact date of the site's death will be as of yet.

Current Work
Couple tidbits...

We're currently doing a fair bit of work with mission scripting on the server. We're currently using this to create a few unique NPC spawns in the New York system - namely, Battleships Unity, Arizona, and Omaha. Taking things a step further, we recently made use of a custom mission script to launch a Nomad invasion of Planet Crete following the completion of our latest server event (congratulations, by the way, to Noggmoritz and HIStory for claiming the final victory) - the Gamma Bowl IV 2v2 tournament.

The script itself was fairly simple, we spawned an invulnerable NPC from Freelancer's oft-forgotten single player campaign (King), who assisted players in battling a great deal of mission-spawned Nomad fighters and gunboats. The execution of this script on the server was without error or flaw, and acted as a fairly decent stress test to give us an idea as to how taxing the execution of large scale mission scripts on a populated (30 players at the time, I believe) server is.
