Electronic sports, abbreviated e-sports or eSports, is used as a general term to describe the play of video games competitively. These games which are considered electronic sports normally belong to the first-person shooter, real-time strategy, or sports game genres. They are played competitively at both amateur and professional levels. Professional levels are played competitively at the professional league and tournament.

March 25th: SpawN Pro Night The legendary Counter-Strike 1.6 player, Abdi "SpawN" Mohamed, is coming to Xfire! On March 25th the Xfire Community will have the opportunity to chat and play with Abdi "SpawN" Mohamed, one of the most decorated Counter-Strike 1.6 players in eSports history.
