*MLd* History
MainLand, since 2006, has been gaming in F.E.A.R. There, we have established a reputation of being the undefeated clan in the map, Deadwood. We reigned over Deadwood for approximately 1.5 years until Evenbalance’s (Punkbuster) contract with Sierra expired. With Sierra failing to renew this contract, Deadwood went through a time of becoming a “hacker’s-haven”. Other F.E.A.R servers being overwhelmed by hackers decided to shut their servers down and move on to other games. But luckily, MainLand had members from across the globe, stretching from the western USA coast, eastward all the way to Europe. Through having many members across the globe allowed our server to be watched over by at least one member at any time during the day. Although PB support for F.E.A.R was lost, meaning it no longer received updates, its PB web tool still worked, which allowed members to permanently ban users via GUID. As time continued its course, a few members came across a player made version of PB, called SEC. This version
