Ether Saga Online (ESO) is based on one the four great classic novels of Chinese literature, Journey to the West. It is a fantasy MMORPG with bright, vivid graphics of an anime artsyle. The storyline acts a prequel to the events in the novel. Players create a character from one of three races. Each race has a unique viewpoint of the story. As players progress through the game, they meet characters from the novel and eventually can become an emissary on the Journey to the West.
