Win Left 4 Dead 2
In the first competition running between now and the release of Valves Left 4 Dead 2, TGT is giving away a copy of the much anticipated zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2.
The challenge is to write a balanced, planned and well rounded essay for publication on the TGT main site on how gaming has changed your life for the better.
The essay will be no less than 1500 words and no more than 3000 and should cover your personal experiences of online gaming, games and camaraderie. Pictures, videos and screenshots are not allowed, you have to use words entirely to convey your thoughts and concepts.
To enter the competition you must be a member of TGT, active on the TGT forums, be capable of writing a well planned essay and be legally able to own the game in your country.
Once submitted your essay will be judged by a panel of three judges all of whom are experienced writers and published authors.
The competition closes on Wednesday 18th October at 18.00hrs (6pm) GMT, the winner will be announced on...

TGT Website Downtime
As part of their move to new premises, Alpha Networks has advised us that our site will experience downtime from around 9pm tonight untill Midnight.
I'd also like to remind everyone that with the move to new premises and hosting, all of our servers will be offline from 11pm Saturday 29th until the morning of Monday 30th.
If you have any queries or concerns please adddress them to Canine

Would all eQ members and associates take note that our servers will all be offline from 11pm next Saturday until around 6pm Sunday Morning.
This is due to our GSP Sponsor, Alpha Networks moving from one datacentre to another, a move which will give us better speeds, reliability and the added functionality of being able to manually perform a hardware restart on our dedi.
We will obviously attempt to have our servers up and running as soon as they become available to use and we ask that you are all patient during the changeover.

Deep Thought - New Server & New IP's
We’re proud to announce that our new dedicated server is now online!
Nicknamed “Deep Thought” this server will host all our games servers and voice servers with room to spare.
The old server has been taken offline and we are now almost completely transferred.
Steam users will probably notice no difference apart from faster map changes but for other games we have I.P. changes across the board.
We’re currently working on an online web-interface which will allow our server admins and clan admins to access the bookable servers and control their configuration. In the meantime the current system of administering the servers using HLSW will continue.
To use a bookable server please have your Clan Leader or War Arranger contact Mustang on IRC or X-Fire.
For voice comms configuration please contact Mirage on IRC or X-Fire.

After discussing it amidst bouts of shooting each other in the back to get the Most Teamkills Award, Salteh and I have decided upon Fayetal as being the best choice for the leader of the ET:QW Squad.
She's active and immersed in the ET:QW community despite being microscopically small and prone to using gold as a convenient seat whilst lurking near the end of a rainbow.
Congratulations Fayetal!
