Weekly Report 7th Edition

Well its almost summer, here is another weekly report to pass the time while you are waiting.

First we are now on Google Groups. I have archived all the weekly reports on there and we have a disscusion board there. So join us there at: http://groups.google.com/group/Destroyrs?hl=en
This will also the first weekly report to be posted on Steam and Google Groups at the same time which I will do with all my weekly reports from now on.

We are also on Youtube now but the Youtube group feature seems to be expirencing some technical difficulties right now so I will give the link later.

Some of our members had asked for a way for me to give out news in between weekly reports so that the news can be more up to date. I have started posting mini news updates in the comments section in just a couple sentinces twiter style. When ever you see one of my comments starting with, News bits: you know that the comment is news stuff.

Another way to stay up to date on Destroyrs news and events is to subscribe to the RSS feed. To do this navigate to our page on your web browser of choice (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Destroyrs in case you forgot) and click on the button on the right subscribe to RSS feed. Next copy the URL in the address bar and go to a RSS reader (my favorite is Google Reader but there are many others availible) and click to add a new subscription. Paste the URL and click subscribe and you are done. Enjoy your easy to access up to date news.

We have added a few rules to the group. They are now located in the group profile but I will copy them here for convenience.

Rules:
1. No Flaming
2. You can not be a member of TG9
3. No dumb comments
4. No PS3 hatting
5. No premoting of other groups in comments or announcements.

Failure to comply with these rules could find you demoted (in an officer's case) or banned. It does not have to be in the rules to get you banned though so use your common sence.

There they are, follow them and you will be able to enjoy your time and avoid the ban hammer. If you have any new rule ideas or any comments/ complaints on the previous ones let me know in the comments.

Just an update on our current projects. Version 2 of the spray pack should be out by next Monday, June 22. I have not got much work done on the maps recently but I will get it out this summer. After this week I will have a lot more free time to work on it. The game night will be in the next few weeks. As a reminder we will be playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch which you can get for free if you have a Nvidia or ATI card at these addresses. http://www.steampowered.com/nvidia/ for Nvidia users and http://www.steampowered.com/ati_offer1a/ for ATI users. So not owning it is not an excuse (unless you lack a good video card).
