Left 4 Dead 2’s DLC scheduled for next week

For a while, Left 4 Dead 2’s upcoming downloadable content, The Passing, was left for postponement but, in a recent blog update, Valve is letting zombie slayers everywhere know that the upcoming content will be available next week.

The Passing takes place between Dead Center and Dark Carnival, and though it was originally scheduled for a March release, the new weapons and game modes that are part of the DLC should make up for the delay. If that isn’t worthy, there’s the encounter between the survivors of Left 4 Dead 2 and the original Left 4 Dead as well as the reveal the Fallen Survivor.

You read that correctly: 28 BILLION. To put that number in perspective:
The entire population of the planet has been zombified and killed 4.26 times.

With the average height of a zombie being 6 feet, if you stacked them end to end they would circle the globe 1,322 times.

If you placed 28,981,249,043 rulers end to end, they would reach 28,981,249,043 feet in the sky.
In short: That is a bucketload of dead zombies. Nice job, everyone.

It’s been confirmed at X10 that the survivors in Left 4 Dead 2 will definitely be getting some company. The Passing, the first round of DLC for the southern-fried zombie shooter, will bring the members of the original Left 4 Dead cast down yonder this spring. Included in the add-in will be a new co-op campaign with associated storylines, new locations for the Survival, Versus, and Scavenge game modes, and a new co-op challenge mode.
