Halloween 2009
Halloween has come to Tyria, and that means the return of Mad King Thorn, new holiday quests, loads of creepy items, the Costume Brawl PvP event, and more!
The ghoul-apalooza begins on October 23rd and runs until 12:01 AM Pacific time on November 2nd. The main festivities take place in Lion's Arch and Kamadan, but the Halloween spirit can be found in other places around Tyria.

Exciting April!
OK so heres the thing. As March closes out the first quarter of the year, April presents a rather nice exciting start to Q2-2009 Gaming!
City of Heroes is due to release I14 "very soon" and with the coming of the Mission Architect, a new time for MMORPGs is born. Its the first time a RPG has had player generated content incoperated and encouraged! Even with its bugs and limitations, the MA is looking very very much fun!

Dont forget April fools day! Every year Guildwars supprises its players by a prank. Last year if you entered a major city (Kamadan/Lions Arch/Keining) you were turned into a stick man! The year before we all changed genders (which is my personal favourite!) This year who knows? And with the addition of RoM & City of heroes to our Guild portfolio what ammusement will these games bring us on the most foolish day of the year?
Also due in April is the latest big quarterly Update from the Guildwars Live team. Now they never let anything out, but... hints...

Main website security alert
On saturday I recieved a attack warning from the server saying numeral attempts were being made to malliciously attack the site.
As per protocol this IP was banned from the forums, site AND server.
Unfortunately I have come down with a nasty case of Foodpoisoning saturday early evening, and what little time I have spent online I really havent been in here to post about it.
Turns out the attack came from a harvested IP mask of a ROM forum member - this means something somewhere knew the IP range of a member on there and hoped it was more powerful than it was, and used thier IP to 'mask' thier own.
Ive unblocked the member from the forums and the site (subject to no more attacks coming from that IP) however I cant promise the server will accept the unban, so bear with me as we try fix that issue.
Ive made every effort to make sure data such as IPs etc is well hidden from spammers, viral farmers etc however as much as we can protect, you need to protect yourselves.
