Looks like new shiny armors and helmets sells better than many great games. And they plan to suck money from the community for entire year. I'm sure Bioware/EA fanboys are in heaven.
While I consider Dragon Age a good game, this whole DLC thing is just retarded for me. Instead of buying quest or armor for DA you'd better buy a good (and old but cheap) cRPG to your collection.

Risen reviews list on RPG Watch
Risen, a non-official successor to the old Gothic and Gothic 2, has been released 3 days ago (2nd October, though some countries are still before release date). Since then there were many reviews - most of them are positive (PC version) but some are not too positive(Xbox360 version). As you can see in this screenshot Pyranha Bytes really cares about console players. Gorath on RPG Watch has posted a nice list with links to reviews. Check it here and there, there and here.

Gamezone's Top 10 Western cRPGs
DocHop has wrote on the gamezone.com about top 10 western cRPGs. Apparently Fallout 3 or Oblivion are much better cRPGs than Planescape Torment or Bloodlines. Check it yourself and join the criticism... er... I mean conversation if you want to.

We are two years old now, so I wish you all your best wishes and good cRPGs in the next year
When I created this guild in 2007 I didn't expect it to be so popular. At the beginning there was just several people for half a year. Later, in 2008, people started to join the community but for a long time I didn't even though we'll have ever more than 50 members and today - as you can see - we have nearly 500! 2009 is a golden year for us, most members joined just recently - this year. So I welcome everyone new and thank everyone who joined earlier for staying with the community for such a long time.

polygamia.pl - a Polish site - has confirmed that Rhianna Pratchett, James Leach and Andrew S. Walsh are writing dialogues for Risen. There are also known several voice-actors in English version:
- John Rhys-Davies (Gimli in "Lord of the Rings"
as Don Esteban, a bandit's leader.
- Andy Serkis (Gollum in "Lord of the Rings" as inquisitor Mendoza
- Lena Headey (300, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles)
- Burn Gorman (Owen Harper from "Torchwood"
