The Event We’re heading back to the Vegas of Britain with EGL 7 taking place at the Norbreck Castle Hotel and Conference Centre on 4/5 August, 2012. We’re raising the maximum prize funds for all of our games to £10,000 ($15,000+), bringing our total prize fund for EGL 7 to over £30,000! 4v4 Gears of War, 4v4 Halo Reach and 4v4 Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360 and PS3) will all be on offer with no team caps in place. The first 200 players or 50 teams will be able to take advantage of the £55 Early Bird Special until 30th June (or until these passes sell out). After that, passes are £60 each (£240 for a team pass) until 28th July, 2012. In the seven days before the event, passes will be £65 on the ‘net or £70(!) on the door. This is to encourage players to buy in advance to offset any administration delays. We had over 110 Call of Duty teams at EGL 5 with almost 40% of the teams paying on the door.
