Call of Duty 4: Modern WarFAIL 2 - Fronted by HellsFury.co.uk

As I'm sure you all know by now, Modern Warfare 2 has been put in the firing line this week, when a shocking and disappointing interview from 'BASHandSlash' was released onto the web in the form of a Webcast.

Although some initial thoughts about the shocking headlines were that they were simply 'Halloween Pranks & Jokes', sadly this was not the case. Jock Yitch from 'BASHandSlash' confirmed that the following statements were true:

- Infinity Ward partnering through Steam is what you will see in the future. Matchmaking is not through Steam, but IW.NET is run in conjunction with Steam.
- GSP's will no longer be renting out servers.
- No PunkBuster. VAC will be used as an anti cheat.
- No more clan servers. Private matches, replace clan servers.
- IW.NET/Steam will replace the community server admin.
- Modding the game is now very much in question. Fourzerotwo had no info on modding. However, it appears that there will be no mods or maps for MW2.

Although at first people were saddened by this disturbing news, their sadness quickly transformed into anger, and giant online petitions were created in a last ditch attempt to try and salvage the ruined game. Aswell as several petitions being created on the net, X-Fire groups began to form alongside the petitions.

One group in particular, Call of Duty 6 Fail (our group) has seemed to have a huge impact on the raged gaming community, and members of the public have joined in their hundreds. Online users from across the globe have decided to come together to try and bring Infinity Ward to their senses and edit their 'fail game'. Massive server hosting companies such as BlueStrikeGaming.co.uk, GTXGaming.co.uk, FPS-Game.co.uk and BobcatGaming.co.uk have also decided to step in and show their support by allowing the CoD6 Fail group to show their company names on their main page so that online users know who they can trust when it comes to purchasing dedicated servers.

With more than 100 Steam Groups, X-fire Communities and online petitions, surely Infinity Ward must do something in this time of hatred?

If you haven't yet participated in some of the goings on within the gaming community, and would like to then please use the following links and show your support:

-CoD6 Fail Group.
-We want our Dedi's!
-Give us our Dedi's Steam Group.
-PC Gamers United X-Fire group.
-Boycott MW2 Steam group.

Thankyou to everyone who has showed your support so far, keep it up.
