Call of Duty 4: ModernRcon v0.8 Released
A new version of Modern Rcon has been released today. This makes the utility version 0.8. Call of Duty 4 server admins, please read below and then download:
So I've finally gotten around to releasing ModernRcon v0.8, which introduces the Rcon Limiter!!!! The Rcon Limiter allows you to build lesser profiles for your clan mates to use, so they don't have full Rcon control over your servers...
Due to the security enhancements I had to make, you are required to install fresh with this version. So you have to remove all your servers from your list and re-add them, otherwise you will get a tamper detection warning and will not be able to connect.
Did you read the last paragraph? It's important!

Competition: Design That Header!
The officially open the graphics part of KillDeathRatio I've decided that we will have a small competition! The competition is very simple and everyone can take part. Take a look below:
The competition is to design a header which will be shown at the top of this site. Currently we have a rotation script running which changes the image every couple of views, this means if you win, your header could be on that rotation! You will also receive a winners userbar to be shown in your forum signature.
Not a great competition I know, but this one is just the build up to the massive one will be having soon. Anyway, back to this one. Below is what you have to do:
- Put your name down in the thread below saying your entering
- Download the PSD file of our header which is Here - http://killdeathratio.com/header.psd
- Open up the PSD file and design away. Please note the text 'Killdeathratio' has to stay in the same place and the border has to remain. But you still have all that space behind the writing!

Call of duty 4 maps are being made by the dozen each day now. To help you find the best maps, we are hosting them on our website, but only the best ones. If you know of any awesome maps, just message me about them and I'll get them up for you.

New Site - Welcome To KillDeathRatio Gaming!
I would like to announce the official opening of the new KillDeathRatio Gaming site.
Over the past few days a lot of work has gone into making a new site for the community, a new site which is fresh, has more features and which is easier to use. Although you may not be able to see a massive change, due to the site look staying the same. A lot of things have changed, we have decided to start everything again. The old news, forums posts and information has gone and now we have a clean start. Although, one thing has remained, i have transfered all downloads over to the new site, this is because i want to keep a good amount of content on the site, news and game information will come gradually, so will downloads, but starting with the vast amount of downloads we already will help a lot.
With the new site we bring you the support of three new games, in fact we bring you the support of every First Person Shooter game out there, why concentrate on a couple of games? When we can mange to give you the latest news...

Call of Duty 4: v1.5 Released!
Infinity Ward have released the 1.5 patch for Call of Duty 4. Take a look:
CHANGES:
● Fixed server browser not showing all of the servers
● The "hold [ ] to steady" sniper scope hint will only appear if you can use it
● Fixed game not recognizing IWDs existing if they are all in fs_basepath and none are in the main/ folder
● Made mod scripts able to change stats
● Allow developer_script for mulitiplayer modding
● Fixed map rotation errors with usermaps
● Fix for reloading several times after connecting to a modded server
● Fixed minimap not showing up in the menu for usermaps
● Fixed an issue with Http redirect downloads.
● Mod tools will now work with other languages
NOTE: patch 1.5 is not compatible with 1.4. You will not be able to find 1.4 servers if you update.
NOTE: Please ensure you have previously downloaded 1.4 patch before downloading 1.5 as you will need the 'Winter Crash' map from 1.4.

Another big announcement. For some time now i have been wanting to change the name of the site, as i thought the old name wasn't working well. It didn't have anything to do with gaming! So today i have finally decided to change the site name. And i have, the old site has been re-directed here and everything will be updated so there are no signs of the old name (apart from in the about us section). The new name is:
KillDeathRatio.com
With the new name change, there will be A LOT of updated all around the site. I really want to make this place awesome, so thats what i will be trying to do.
