Glastonbury is a MMORPG roleplaying guild started on the Nimue server of Dark Age of Camelot in 2003. We have stuck together since then and have been present in Star Wars Galaxies, Shadowbane, City of Heroes, Planetside, World of Warcraft, and Vanguard. Currently we are active in Pirates of the Burning Sea and Age of Conan.

Our guild name arose in homage of the real life town of Glastonbury, thought to be home to King Arthur's court and Avalon. Additionally, our guild founders wanted a relaxed atmosphere where merriment and common pleasures were accepted, and founded our ranks as an irregular militia. Thus, our guild name in DAoC became Glastonbury Irregulars.

But, you may ask yourself what do boars have to do with this? Well, the boar is the mascot of our original Glastonbury Irregulars guild. Since then we've adopted the Boar wholesale (and a penchant for drinking and piratey things and such). The boar signifies a stout heart, unflinching bravery, and an ignoble origin.
