Bad Company 2: Vietnam Gets Release Date

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam will be released on December 21. If you’re a fan of digital distribution on PC then Steam and the EA store have the game ready on December 18th. The console counterparts and PC retail will be available for pick up on the 21st. You can get it online on PSN for $14.99 or for 1200 MS points on the Xbox live marketplace. Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam is an expansion pack for the original Battlefield Bad Company 2.

You can play as either a U.S. Marine or as a member of the North Vietnamese Army. Four new multiplayer maps are made available with this expansion pack. This is all being brought to you by DICE an EA studio. The expansion pack also delivers new weapons, new vehicles, new achievements and new trophies.

Bad Company 2 Patch Released for PC
Yep, the latest patch for the PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has finally arrived! The patch should automatically download through Steam, and you may want to start early as it's almost 980MB in size for the client.

Changes? You've probably seen them by now, but in case you haven't we have them all for you below.



Server - Some potential sources for lag/rubberbanding have been eliminated
Server - The old reserved slots has been replaced by a kick-on-demand system like in BF2
Server - Log file for server admins: all remote admin interface commands/events are logged

Server - Profanity filter can be disabled

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Update
The R7 Client and R10 Server patch update for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been released tonight. The patch is apparently a few hundred MB in size, so you can start downloading now while you read through the change log to see the list of changes once more.

R7 Client Changes

- MP - New Server browser
- MP - Added 15 second spawn timer for Conquest/Rush gamemodes at the start of round to prevent high end machines getting the upper hand before other machines load in.
- MP - Crash fixes relating to ALT+TAB at different times throughout the game
- MP - Hang fix when trying to connect to a full server multiple times
- MP - Deletion of soldiers now possible through the account pages in game
- MP - Removed screen flash during loading
- MP - Added support for colour blind players
- MP - Fixed crashes relating to faulty server banners
- MP - Servers closing during connection no longer cause the client to hang
