The Double Helix (TDH -aka- The Fam) was formed on November 24, 2002 in the wake of a disturbance in Global Strike Force (GSF) that left many on edge as to it's questionable past leadership and future direction. The Fam was formed as a symbol of how a true gaming squad should be run while the frustration was fresh in our minds. Viper set off on a task to find a name for this family that would symbolize the strength of the squad while pointing out the weaknesses in our counterparts. The Double Helix did just that.

Shortly after a name was picked, Dutchtreat, Iceman, and Antares agreed this was the path to take and the Fam was born. Take a look at the backdrop of this page, you'll see what a double helix actually looks like. After that the flood gates opened and the journey of The Double Helix began.
