Answer: I love it, it is one big family!!!

[PMS] JumpEr: It's fun, pretty laid back but organized. We practice a lot, and are required to make 8hrs of practice a week. I love my girls! We're all a really tight knit group. :)

[PMS] BabyBrenda<3: I just recently joined PMS but so far it is going pretty well. I love my PMS gurlies and I really enjoy playing with them.

Answer: We formed in 2002 on Xbox Live, we created our PC divison in 2004 :-p

Answer: Only if they have a girl name, and even them some lie :-p

Answer: OMNG yes, we have about 20 divisons on PC, Xbox, and playstation platforms

Answer: Well I guess it depends on their name in game is.

 

[PMS] Athena Twin: Question: Pazy: Woman Gamers get it rough online simple for being there, and especially when there winning, was there ever a time you wanted to just call youself Bob and hide your gender while you played games?

Answer: No, I have never wanted to hide being a girl, but many womn do that sometimes

[PMS] JumpEr: nOT REALLY, i'VE HAD TIMES WERE i JUST WANT TO LEAVE (AND SOMETIMES i DO) BUT FOR THE MOST PART i'M PROUD TO BE WHO i AM AND i'M NOT AFRAID TO PLAY WITH THE BOYS

[PMS] Crofty: Sometimes i play under different alias's expecailly in pubs, always some negative gamers hating on girls, but usually you just rock them in the face enough they simmer down

 

[PMS] JumpEr: Question: h2o.skoal: i have had the pleasure of playing a few scrims with women gamers and in my experience i have witnessed that women seem to be able to stick to strats better and in general make good quick decisions especially in clutch situations as women yourself do you have any tips to help us guys

Answer: I think that women and men both have the ability to follow strats the same. I think women are just better communicators in general. so i'd tell the boys to just talk more!

 

[PMS] Athena Twin: Question: deloitte: Do you ever find that you have to work twice as hard as your male counterparts in gaming in order to achieve the success and recognition that PMS has received?

Answer: We work very hard, and many of the guys do too...we actually started out working events for free several years ago, and paying for all the events ourselves...that takes extreme commitment to the group and to gaming to do that ;-)

 

[PMS] Athena Twin: Question: <CNN>Bessel: Hmm...What made you decide to try and make an all female gaming clan?

Answer: My sister and I had been playing competitively for over a year and had never met a girl...when we finally did we knew we wanted to make a female team after kicking some butt together on UR

[PMS] Athena Twin: Now, it means so much more then kicking butt...it helps make a supportive environment for women and we are all very proud of our accomplishments!!

 

[PMS] GurlieLisa: Question: Wraith: how often do you encounter people who are like "there is no way your a girl, girls dont play videogames"

Answer: pretty much everyday..haha

[PMS] Crofty: It happens alot, usually when you’re winning, people always say "prove it" send me pics... which is always funny

[PMS] JumpEr: That happens a lot, mostly when I'm playing a console game though, I just tell them to go to pmsclan.com and look me up :)

[PMS] JumpEr: deloitte: Question: Do you ever find that you have to work twice as hard as your male counterparts in gaming in order to achieve the success and recognition that PMS has received?

Answer: I think it is hard sometimes and seems like we have a lot more to prove since everyone keeps such a close eye on us, but I think that we do a good job representing ourselves and that gets us recognized

 

[PMS] BabyBrenda<3: Question: +justice+: -does your husband/boyfriend help you with gaming eg. doing housework r caring for the children? Has he ever claimed more time in your life?

Answer: Well i don't know about housework but my boyfriend is actually the one who got me into playing counter-strike

[PMS] GurlieLisa: Question: h2o.skoal: do you think pro gaming is here for the long run or just another fad

Answer: umm i think its here for the long run. it seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

[PMS] Athena Twin: Definatly here for long run...gaming is not a fad, it is a lifestlye...and more people are moving to it! Anyone jsut here about the $1mil Halo 3 event CPL just announced? You dont put that kind of money in a Fad! :-P

[PMS] JumpEr: I def. think it's going to be here for a while, it's been here for a good decade and I think it's just going to get bigger and bigger

 

[PMS] BabyBrenda<3: Question: Faye: Do you ever think that there is hope in women being wholly accepted into the world of pro-gaming?

Answer: Of course!

[PMS] Crofty: As long as the girls playing are just as competative as the guys i dont see why not

[PMS] JumpEr: Yes, of course. and thats one of the things PMS is trying to do. I think that with people like Vanessa out there in CGS people will see that we can play up there at the top too :)

[PMS] Athena Twin: YES, as long as we continue to keep practiceing and making top in brakets legitimatly, people will have to recogognize us a viable competitors....PMS Clan has over 20 top PRO event placements todate :D

 

[PMS] GurlieLisa: Question: Badazz: Do you think that women have it easier as clan leaders than men?

Answer: naw. takes just as much work. :)

[PMS] JumpEr: haahha no way.. there's so much drama that comes with girls its not even funny. boys tend to hold everything in and let it blow up, but often dont hold grudes like girls do

[PMS] Athena Twin: No, it is the same...although there are allot more options for teams for males that disgruintled members can go to if there is not good leadership :-P

Answer: Goldeneye, bubblebobble, zelda to name a few

Answer: deff should try and treat everyone fair..i always try and be nice to the guys...even if they are rude to me.

[PMS] JumpEr: Girls should be treated fairly of course! and no, we shouldnt be allowed to insult guys because they insult us..

[PMS] elle.: I think we should all be treated fairly, we all share the same passion for the game so why not have fun.

 

[PMS] JumpEr: Question: deloitte: Do you find the overt sexuality of female avatars to be offensive? Do you wish there were options for more clothed female representation, or does the avatar not really matter as long as you kick butt

Answer: Yes and no, I don't really care, but I think it'd be cool to have more rep for girls that aren't skantly clad

[PMS] Crofty: As long as there kickin but, they can where whatever they want

[PMS] Athena Twin: I think the key is OPTIONS...we all like differant things, so allot of options to chose from in avs is key...P.S. I like hot avs...BOOOBIES :-p

 

[PMS] elle.: Question: Forlornhope: Do you think game companies target their games towards females? Is there anything you would like to see changed?

Answer: It depends, like the majority of gamers are guys, it's just that girls like to join in the fun too :)

[PMS] Crofty: Yes and no, its hard to target girls specifically, our tastes differ as much as the next, personally id rather play a game like unreal trounment or Halo, or half life over barbies horse adventure, or hello island kitty adventrurres

[PMS] JumpEr: I think that they don't, but are starting to lean more toward the female market. (i.e. the sims...*cough*) I think they should wake up and see that women like to play real games too

[PMS] Athena Twin: I think companies are just starting to recgognize women adudiances...I would just like to see more games WOOT!

Answer: We get a few scrims almost every night

[PMS] Athena Twin: All divisions are differant, but each is required to have at least 2 matches a week for an active divison

[PMS] Athena Twin: and four practices or 8 hours minimum

 

[PMS] elle.: Question: Faye: Which one is your favorite so far; XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, or The Playstation 3?

Answer: Xbox360

[PMS] JumpEr: Question: Pazy: I play in a division (of a larger clan) which is 1/3 female and has a woman as commanding officer. Do you feel segregating yourself into one womans only clan is the way too go or would you rather you were part of a every other clan 'like the boys' as it were?

Answer: Well, PMS actually has a brother clan (H2O) so we do play with boys a lot, I like playing with girls, it brings a whole new aspect to gaming and I think being in an all female clan brings more attention to the fact that women play games too.. I think a lot of girls like it too because we are all respectful and we provide a safe haven if you will away from trash talking and the like

[PMS] elle.: A little bit of both is always fun.

[PMS] BabyBrenda<3: I have been in both types of clans. I really enjoy playing all in the all female clan better. I think it is about the comitment and dedication.

[PMS] Athena Twin: I think it is great both ways!! I like playing with women becasue I fell I am helping to make a differance bvy giving visabilty to women gamers that female teams/players CAN be competive...it gives me something to strive for other then traditional gamepley I get with the guys, but both are great which is why we do have some co-ed teams with our H2O Clan (our brother group)

 

[PMS] JumpEr: Question: Forlornhope: What characters do you think girls can really relate to in gaming?

Answer: Princess Peach! LOL thats a joke.. um Laura Croft, even though she is a sexual icon for men, she shows that women can kick butt too and she does it well, and with big guns :D

[PMS] Athena Twin: MasterChief, cuz he is just cool like that and I really think there should be a women behind that armor!!

Answer: As high as they go, : )

[PMS] JumpEr: I use 1280x1024 haha.. It's so small but I love it. I also turn my gamma + brightness all the way up :)

 

[PMS] elle.: Question: <O_o> uber_n00b: Do you feel that you're breaking the age old stereotype by playing said games, or is it just like any other activity?

Answer: It's just another activity...(i'm sorry jumper :()

[PMS] JumpEr: I think we are helping to break the stereotype by showing that there are a lot of girls out there and that we can kick butt too.

[PMS] Athena Twin: Yes, there are lots of women in gaming, but very few in COMPETIVE gaming (Like FPS, racing, Fighters, etc)...this is the area we need more women to increase visabilty of women gamers as a whole

Answer: nope dont think so. we all have lives..with work and school..and social lives as well.

[PMS] elle.: Question: Papercut: What does your Family and Friends think of Games? How does it affect people when you tell them that's what you do?

Answer: My parents would just be like..school first, but my friends would consider this as nerdy.

[PMS] GurlieLisa: umm some ppl think im kidding...but most ppl think it is pretty cool.

[PMS] JumpEr: I have a couple friends that play games with me, some are more casual gamers and some are more into it. My family at first thought it was a waste of time, but then when they met my friends and I started traveling and doing stuff with it they think its really neat but weird :p

 

[PMS] JumpEr: Question: +justice+: doesn´t the few male gamers, like me :D, who really admire your work prove your thesis of being disliked by male gamers wrong?

Answer: I don't agree with that thesis, I just think a lot of men like to hate on girls, I think its more intimidation than anything.. they're scared that we will win, and when we do they get even more mad because they dont think girls should play.. it goes back to the age old fight for women's equality when you think about it. and thanks for the support! <3

[PMS] Athena Twin: WE love and support our sister Frag Dolls....5 of the 8 members are PMS Clan members...those girls work hard traingin on Rainbow6 and actually finsihed Championship bracket for MLG this year!! <3

 

[PMS] Crofty: Question: deloitte: Do you find that playing with all female gamers theres more drama than in a coed clan? How do you deal with drama that exists within almost every clan?

Answer: Drama is everywhere, its just how you handle it, hopefully as maturely as possible, but it seems some females are more prone to it then males

[PMS] Athena Twin: We try to handle drama quicky and we have extensive codes-of-conduct that help eliminate problems :D

[PMS] JumpEr: yes and no, drama does exist with every clan. girls do tend to be more dramatic, but honestly when they're mixed with boys it can be a lot worse, so I'm not really sure its any different than coed clans.

Answer: We normally pick a starting 5 at the beginning of seasons (like cal or cevo) and stick with that team for as long as we can

Answer: anywone can join PMS/H2O simply sign up on our forums! pmsclan.com/forums. we have a casual division for people who cant make the practice requirements as well

[PMS] Athena Twin: WE are not all PRO and are open to any male/females wanting to join...we review for PRO teams by MArch each year for line-ups :P

 

[PMS] elle.: Question: Caith: Well, How do PMS players deal with Other guys when gaming? I've been gaming since a pretty young age, on PCs and all, yet the guys in my social class and all laugh at me when I say I can play fps games, like UT2k4. How do you guys manage to keep on playing? I can't even prove to my classmates that I play pc games, 'cause the comps at my school suck.

Answer: Just ignore them, people who talk crap like that are SOFTTTTTTT

[PMS] GurlieLisa: when i 1st started playin i think i played bout...10 hours straight

[PMS] BabyBrenda<3: I have definitley pulled some all nighters

[PMS] Crofty: Question: ☭ wMute ☭: Does the perception of PMS change depending on the regions you play in tournaments/whatever? Europe? Southern US? Canada? Etc?

Answer: Europe seems to be most understanding, i love sweden

[PMS] Athena Twin: We all have the same requirements regrdless where we are from...1 month reqruitment, orientation, guidlines, policies, etc...we are the "McDonalds" factor in gaming :D

 

[PMS] GurlieLisa: Question: Badazz: Pazy: From your experiences in gaming, and specifically first person shooters, do you beleive that Violent video games can cause anger and violence in people? In the long or short term

Answer: not at all. just a game for fun. ppl shouldnt take it out into the real world.

[PMS] JumpEr: no! I think that children are impressionable and it can effect them, parents need to monitor what kids watch. but i do not think that violent video games + movies cause people to be violent. I think its in their nature and it gives them more exposure to it and may give them ideas... but i think its built in already

[PMS] Athena Twin: I am a firm beliver that gmaes do not make people violent...it is simply that violent people are drawn to violent outlets (i.e. they are listening to violent music, wathcing violent TV, and yes, playing violent games....but it is not the outlets that are making them that way.

[PMS] elle.: I've seen people get real pissed off then they get killed by a girl but most of the time, i think people will chill and treat it like a game..hopefully they wont go out and starting trouble

Answer: I feel like I want to shoot them in the face... a lot. haha. I get pretty fueled when guys talk crap or hit on me when I'm trying to play a game. Normally I just leave the game, or if it's a scrim, I tell them to MM2 a lot... they listen or I kick them :D

Answer: I think it is fun to play with family, andhopefull as the nintendo generation keeps having babies they will share thier love of games to thier sons AND daughters :D

Answer: I am the clan leader and my sister is co-leader...we have Platform Generals who manage Generals in all games, who manage leaders and co-leaders, who manage staff and general leaders...it is very organized :D

Answer: I'd say WoW! hahahaha :p just cuz it steals your soul (and stole mine once before too)
