GAMING AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY VETERAN GREG BALLARD TO JOIN XFIRE’S BOARD
OF DIRECTORS

today announced the addition of gaming and entertainment expert Greg Ballard to
its Board of Directors. With over two million registered users, Xfire™ is a
free service which offers a server browser, IM, and file download system
designed specifically for online gamers.

Greg currently serves as President and CEO of Glu Mobile, a
leading developer and global publisher of mobile entertainment, including games
based on brands from Atari, Cartoon Network, FOX Sports, Nickelodeon, PopCap Games and Twentieth Century Fox. Prior
to his appointment at Glu, Greg was CEO at SONICblue,
and prior to that at MyFamily.com. He also served as CEO of 3Dfx, where, over a
three-year period, he grew the company from $4
million to an annualized rate of more than $400 million. Greg also served as
CEO and COO for Warner Custom Music, a division of Time Warner, Inc. Before that, Greg was president of Capcom
Entertainment, the U.S.
subsidiary responsible for hits such as Street Fighter, Mega-Man and Resident
Evil. In addition, Greg was COO and CFO of Digital Pictures, a leading video
game developer for Sega CD. He was awarded a B.A. from the University
of Redlands and a J.D. from Harvard
Law School.

Join – Xfire users can see what games their friends are playing and use

In-Game Messaging – Xfire users can send and receive instant messages while playing in many games without
having to minimize or Alt-Tab out of the game.
- Stats
Tracking – Through automatically updated player profiles, Xfire displays
what games users are playing and how many hours they have played them.
- File
Downloads – Xfire’s file download system deliver demos, patches, trailers,
and other files to users via a closed peer-to-peer distribution system.
Xfire can detect when a user is playing a game and automatically pause the download until the user exits the game. Xfire
also offers users the ability to sign up for channels so they can get
files delivered automatically based on their interests.

Chat – Xfire allows gamers to talk to each other over a private
