Answer: 16volt: well, we have been compared yes, but that usually comes from the uninitiated

16volt: its all kinda incestuous really

16volt: mike who has been in 16volt forever used to be in skrew with danny lohner and chris vrenna played on ou rlast record

16volt: i think there are moments on the new NIN cd that a geat

16volt: oerall it seems a little safe an uninspired to me though

Answer: kmfdm

Answer: there was no coldwave before wisdom according to some

Answer: yes

16volt: i am still addicted to q3arena

16volt: i am actually sitting on vogonHQ as we type

16volt: not much of a console gamer, although on tour i usually play alot

16volt: tony hawk series, madden, nhl

 

16volt: Question: TAW_Nocturn [AA 4]: How do you feel the genre has evolved, and do you think you have played a role in it's developement?

Answer: in many ways i dont think it has evoved

16volt: thats not a good thing

16volt: i feel like with 16v we always try and push the envelope of that

16volt: but it gets us into trouble sometimes

16volt: we sit on the fence of being mainstream and to some thats annoying, in both directions i guess

 

16volt: Question: [Xfire] SDaria: What is it like to be the only "member" of 16volt? is it a lonely life?

Answer: no not at all

16volt: it actually allows for more colaboration

16volt: on the new record paul raven from ministry played, steve from kmfdm

16volt: if i had a solid lineup we wouldnt be able to do that kinda thing without pissing everyone off

 

16volt: Question: Devon`D4rk: What inspired you to devote your life to your profession?

Answer: 16volt: it kinda just happened that way

16volt: it wasnt something i sent resumes out for :p

16volt: sometimes out of luck, sometimes not

Answer: 16volt: hah

16volt: in over 10 years of doing this, no one has asked me that

16volt: mom likes it

16volt: dont care what dad thinks

16volt: we havent talked in years

Answer: 16volt: i went to recording engineering school at a young age so in a sense yeah, it did

 

16volt: Question: Rich: 16vol what game would you say ur favourite is out of all consoles of all time? have been your inspirations?

Answer: i usually prefer ps2

16volt: my fav would have to be tony hawks series

16volt: i always wanted to be able to skate and i suck so it allows me to live vicariously through them

 

16volt: Question: ze0n: Do you guys play games like counterstirke or any PC games?

Answer: 16volt: well i have played counterstrike, i jsut really love the physics of id stuff more

16volt: i am especially enjoying the q3xt mod, lots faster and more brutal

16volt: Rich: If you were asked by a person such as my self to make a 3d model of you for maybe css or any other game would you be willing to be photograthed

16volt: well that has already happend - we are in the game primal for ps2

Answer: 16volt: ummm

Answer: 16volt: flying

Answer: 16volt: i just love how they come together, the sound and feeling of it

Answer: we have a few

16volt: fxpansion, metric halo and mesa boogie

Answer: 16volt: i love meeting all the fans

16volt: i have always been someone who like to just walk around out in the clubs and say hi to people

16volt: i have always been really accessable, its just amazing to be able to talk with people who respect what you do

 

16volt: Question: Excerion: how did it feel to work with a video agme designer?

Answer: we worked with cambridge studios on primal as part of sony playstation, it was really amazing

16volt: i would do it again in a heart beat

16volt: we have some videos up at the 16volt site about the making of primal and such if you want to see it

 

16volt: Question: |Ħĸ| Subway|Mike: Are you guys ever going to do a world tour and if so do you think you'll mess around more or play it serious?

Answer: 16volt: i would love to do a world tour - its something that we jsut havent gotten to setup yet

16volt: we would take it serious but we can still have fun

 

16volt: Question: <CNN>DGMurdockIII: What do you think of the upcoming game Rock Band?

Answer: 16volt: it looks like fun, i tried guitar hero ad failed miserably

Answer: 16volt: oh definately

16volt: i purposely didnt watch the first season of lost and then it came out on dvd

16volt: i watched season one in like 3 days

16volt: it was ridiculous

16volt: everyone was like, are you okay man"?

16volt: anything that has involved story lines works well on the road casue you play for an hour, the rest of the time is spent getting into trouble being bored

Answer: 16volt: my mom took me out for mexican food

16volt: hehe

16volt: not very glamorous i know

Answer: 16volt: i dunno, if you like to dress a certain way then do, i have never been one to get to elaborate with how we dress

16volt: we keep it dark

16volt: thats about the onloy rule

Answer: 16volt: i dont

16volt: i am usually very asleep in the shower

16volt: it takes me forever to wake up

16volt: usually after lunch

Answer: 16volt: i have a few

16volt: defect people, therapy, and you are alone again

16volt: its hard, these are like my little babies, i love them all, some are just easier for me to deal with

Answer: 16volt: i grew up skatboarding, surfing, bmx, snowboarding and ice hockey

16volt: i still play hockey, i actually played this morning, and snowboard

Answer: its nicce enough

16volt: my wife is an interior desinger so its nice

16volt: if it were jsut me it would look like a dorm i am sure

Answer: 16volt: ibanez is my fav

16volt: honestly havent done xfire before... i mostly hang out in the 16volt.com forums

Answer: a veterinarian, helicopter pilot, or a rockstar

Answer: i keep it pretty low key

16volt: they know its there, they dont know that its as big as it is

Answer: 16volt: it varies, some take months, some days

16volt: some are easym they jsut come together

Answer: when i am working on a record its usually all i listen too

16volt: but now i am not listening to me at all

Answer: 16volt: in some ways it made me more productive, knowing that i will have this legacy, i want to make sure that i leave one for them

16volt: it does take alot of my attention away from it though but not so much that i cant deal
