First, start a Group Chat as described in the chat room section. Then, have the desired host select "Start Voice Chat Server" from the Actions menu. The host of the voicechat must have Power User level permissions or higher, and should have a fast internet connection with a good upload speed.

An options panel will pop-up, allowing the host to choose a bandwidth/quality setting that is appropriate for the connection. The host can also select to automatically enable their voice when the voicechat starts.

Once the host starts the voicechat, each member of the Group Chat will receive an invitation to join in. Selecting yes will enable each user's Xfire voice system, and each user can chat using their existing voice/key activation and hardware settings. Quality settings are determined by the host's choice.

You can disable the voice chat for yourself by selecting "Disable voice chat for this room" from the Actions menu. You can use this if you're going away from your machine for awhile, or are in multiple voice chats and only want to be heard in one at a time. You can re-enable voice through the same menu if it's disabled.

To stop hosting a group chat session for the group, the host can select "Stop hosting voicechat" from the actions menu, which will disable all voice communication for the room.
