Scavenger Hunt Event Rules:
How to participate:
Contest: To enter, you must login to Xfire starting October 24th, 2008 and search for hidden answers among various Xfire web pages through clues provided on the Xfire Halloween Scavenger Hunt page and answer as many questions correctly as possible by 11:59PM, October 31st, 2008 on the answer ballot provided at the end of the 10th question. You will be asked to provide your Xfire username and email address at the end for contact, in the event that you have won.
Winners will be drawn at random from the 4 prize tiers below. If you answer all the answers correctly, you will be entered into a drawing to win the Tier 1, 2, 3, and 4 prizes. If you answer at least 9 out of the 10 questions, you will be entered into a drawing to win the Tier 2, 3, and 4 prizes. If you answer at least 8 out of the 10 questions, you will be entered into a drawing to win the Tier 3, and 4 prizes. Lastly, if you answer at least 6 out of the 10 questions, you will be entered into a drawing to win the Tier 4 prizes.
There will be 4 tiers of prizes, each with a specific number of winners. No Xfire user can win twice (higher-tier winners will not be eligible for lesser prizes).

PRIZE FULFILLMENT
Xfire users will be placed into the appropriate tiers based on how many correct answers they have. Winners will then be decided through a random drawing based on which tiers they are eligible for. Winners will be contacted by email to confirm the email address and obtain a shipping address. Prizes may be shipped from separate locations so multiple boxes may arrive at separate times.
In the event that you are a winner of the Samsung Widescreen LCD Monitor, further paperwork including your Social Security Number will be required. Unfortunately, if the paperwork is not received, the prize cannot be claimed. Non-US residents who do not have an SSN or EIN can still participate in the Halloween event and are still eligible for all prizes.
EVENTS:
This event is sponsored by Xfire, Inc (“Xfire”), Menlo Park, CA and OCZ
Technology, Inc. (“OCZ”), Sunnyvale, CA. The events are governed by these
official rules. By participating in an event, each entrant agrees to these
official rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that
the results of the event are final in all respects. The event is subject to all
federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by
law.
ELIGIBILITY:
You must have a connection to the internet and an e-mail account prior to the
first date of this event. The event is open to all Xfire users. All entrants
must be at least 13 years old or older to participate. Void where restricted,
taxed, or prohibited by law. Employees of Xfire, OCZ and its affiliates, its
dealers, its advertising and promotional agencies, in judging organization,
manufacturers or distributors for the event materials and their immediate
families in the same household are not eligible. Xfire reserves the right to
verify the eligibility of each winner.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected
with this event, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without
resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration. Xfire
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend any part or
all of the event should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other
causes beyond the control of sponsor corrupt or impair the administration,
security, fairness, or proper play of the event. In such case Xfire may award
prizes in a random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the date of
cancellation or suspension. Xfire and its promotion and advertising agencies
are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone failures of
any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled,
or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Xfire, users, or by any of
the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by
any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions
which may damage a user’s system or limit a participant’s ability to
participate in the promotion. Xfire may prohibit an entrant from participating
in the event or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that
said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the event
by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including
the use of automated quick entry programs), or intending to annoy, abuse,
threaten, or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.
CAUTION:
ANY ATEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE
LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE EVENT MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS
AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, XFIRE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND
DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
