Hello and welcome to the 2008 Haunted Xfire Halloween Hunt brought to you by OCZ! Over the next 7 days (October 24th to 31st), you will use 11 clues found here to search Xfire.com for the secrets behind Xfire's haunting.

Write down all the answers as you scour the website, and by Halloween you will have the answers to complete and submit the answer form. So have fun scavenging all that Xfire offers, and enter for your chance to win great prizes from Xfire and OCZ Technology!

1. Find the Xfire Insider newsletter from 8/26/08 at http://www.xfire.com/cms/xf_newsletter/ Name the game that appears in "Screenshot Contest". Hint: We list the winning answers as a followup.

2. Go to the games page for the game featured in the Insider "Guess the Video" contest above (You can find it by going to xfire.com/games/) On what date was the game's top rank achieved?

3. Check out Xfire Xstatics at Xstatics (www.xfire.com/xstatics/) to find the game with the greatest rank gain in the Xfire Top 20 in September 2008.

5. There is a haunted character in the Exclusive Xfire Pure Pwnage Interactive Webisode now available. Watch the video and use the VideoClix interaction to find the spookily named Private. What's his name (there will be 3 incantations of it when you find him)

6. In the Xfire Halloween 2008 forum , find the post by on the first page with the Xfire haunted jack-o-lantern. What's the Xfire user's name who posted it?

7. Click on the carved pumpkin found with the last clue to go to a haunted screenshot on Xfire. What is the name/caption of the photo?

8. On October 27, a chat room will open, named after the answer to question 7. Find this public room. What is the automated welcome message you receive upon entering?

9. Oct 28, an Xfire jack-o-lantern will appear in a blog post at www.xfire.com/blog/theblog, Xfire's blog of events and news. Find it an click on it to reveal the haunt's name.

10. The answer to the Blog clue also contains a haunted Xfire jack-o-lantern. Click it to view another haunting, an Xfire video capture. The first comment listed for the video contains the puzzle for this answer. Record the first letters of each word; they spell out the name of this Xfire ghoul.

11. On the final day of the contest, Halloween, go to the xfire.com homepage. Write down the first three digits of the registered users, and subtract 4.
