January 24th and 25th on Xfire
January 24th at 5pm EST (2pm PST), join Xfire for a Live Chat with independent game developers who will be online to answer your questions about game design and the trials and tribulations involved in breaking into the game industry.
Then, on January 25th at 5pm EST (2pm PST), attend the 12th meeting of the Xfire Debate Club, featuring a debate on the current state of independent games, the issues involved in the development and marketing of game, and what the future looks like for the genre of indie games.

Jay Barnson
Jay has been a video game developer since 1994, working on such titles as Twisted Metal, Warhawk, Jet Moto, Outwars, ECW 2: Anarchy Rulz, and the soon-to-be-released MMO "Saga." In 2004, he formed the indie studio "Rampant Games," and creating his indie title, Void War. He continues mainstream game development during the day, develops indie games by night, and blogs on the indie game scene at Tales of the Rampant Coyote.

Geoff Benson
Geoff is the president and lead game designer for uTime Games, Inc, a tiny publisher of both olde tyme card games and of new-fangled online toys. He's been making games for fun since before he could type, even including a series of RPGs for the TI-85 graphing calculator. Currently, his efforts are focused on PseudoQuest, a humorous casual RPG that's currently in Open Beta. Well, when he's not coding the backend of the Xfire website or working on gamestats support for the Xfire client.

Jenova Chen
Xinghan (Jenova) Chen, one of the first-generation video game design graduates from USC School of Cinematic Arts, creator behind the multi award-winning student game Cloud and flOw, co-founder of thatgamecompany. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Jenova ventured to the US in 2003. Like what Hayao Miyazaki did to anime, Jenova wants to be one of the heroes who help to turn video games into a form of art and play that can be appreciated and enjoyed by every human being.

Corvus Elrod
Corvus Elrod is a storyteller with nearly twenty years experience in full-immersion improvisational performance. He began developing techniques to coax his audiences into telling their stories instead. He later abandoned his career in technology and started making plans to translate his ideas into videogames. But the more he saw of the industry, the more iconoclastic and anti-establishment he became. Now he runs Zakelro Story Studio and earns his money writing under contract for games and animation while he develops his participatory storytelling system, the HoneyComb Engine.

Amanda Fitch
Amanda Fitch graduated college with an English B.A. and became a technical writer. After finding nothing interesting on game store shelves, she decided to make a game that she wanted to play. Fitch knew that trying to get into a large game company like EA would be next to impossible, so she decided to start her own independent game company and make a little cash on the side. Eventually Fitch quit her day job and focused 100% of her time on games. Fitch's current game titles are Aveyond and Grimm's Hatchery.

Mark Morris joined forces with Chris Delay and Thomas Arundel to found Introversion Software in 2001. Mark has used the experiences and management skills he gained from a period of work with the Ministry of Defence in London to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and operation of Introversion. Mark has been heavily involved in the successful online and retail launches of Introversion's titles, Uplink, the award-winning Darwinia and DEFCON, and is currently working on a number of exciting deals for future titles.

Chris Pasley
Chris worked as the head of AdultSwim.com's gaming initiative as the site branched out into original, non-show-based games. Now the Director of Games at Kongregate.com, Chris is in charge of the site's fledgling Premium Games program that seeks to prove you can actually do something original in the Flash games space and make enough money to pay the light bill afterwards.

Josiah Pisciotta
Josiah Pisciotta joined Chronic Logic in 2001 and took over full ownership of Chronic Logic LLC in 2005. Josiah began programming and developing games in 1990. Josiah contributed in the design, programming and production of Chronic Logic's 2003 Independent Game Festival (IGF) winner Bridge Construction Set, and Chronic Logic's 2005 IGF grand prize winner Gish. He also contributed to the development and production of Triptych, Word Peace and 2005/2007 IGF finalist "Golf?". Josiah produced and contributed in the design and development of Chronic Logic's latest game Kingdom Elemental and is currently producing and developing several new games with Chronic Logic and other developers.
