Dan "Shoe" Hsu
Moderator for this meeting of The Two-Handed Sword

Dan Hsu is the current editor-in-chief of the video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly, a position he has held since 2001. Hsu joined the magazine staff in 1996, and aside from a year-long absence in 2000 to work at sister website gamers.com, has remained since. Michael "Zonk" Zenke

Zonk is a mainpage editor at Slashdot.org, and the sectional editor for Slashdot Games. He has a gaming blog, entitled MMOG Nation, where he spins out the occasional comment about something that catches his interest in the MMORPG field. Zenke is an equal opportunity gamer; he plays titles on all of the major consoles, handhelds and the PC with equal enjoyment. He is also an avid tabletop gamer.

Chris Grant

Motivated by either an unhealthy Messianic complex or a dearth of career opportunities (he never could decide which), Chris put his college degrees in Literature and Cinema Studies to good use as a carpenter before becoming editor of the popular gaming blog, Joystiq. In this role, he spends a statistically impossible percentage of each day writing, exploring the blogosphere and, when he comes up for air, covering gaming for local alterna-paper, the Philadelphia Weekly. If he isn't busy playing or writing about games, he's doing other, no doubt less important, things... though he probably shouldn't be.

Peter Rojas

Peter Rojas is the cofounder and editor-in-chief of Engadget, a weblog with daily coverage of gadgets, consumer electronics, and personal technology, and the cofounder of Joystiq, a weblog covering the world of video games. He is also the Chief Strategy Officer for Weblogs, Inc., the world's largest blog network, and a Programming Director with AOL, the parent company of Weblogs, Inc. He is a frequent commenter on technology for several radio and television programs, and in 2005 served as a guest host on G4's Attack of the Show.

Brandon Sheffield

Brandon Sheffield is senior editor of Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com, respectively the largest print and web resources for game developers. He is also the founder of insertcredit.com, an independent games website which, for better or for worse, is one of the founders of new game journalism.

Special Guest Niels Keurentjes

Niels Keurentjes is founder and editor-in-chief of Xboxic, an Xbox 360 oriented site combining the thoroughness of big established game sites with the insights and opinions as commonly presented by the popular gaming weblogs. While the site has grown into the ICGamers network covering all major console platforms, he is an avid Xbox 360 gamer himself with a long history in computer hardware and software development, running an ICT company alongside the game sites. He has previously been an administrator on Dutch site Tweakers.net, one of the biggest online computer hardware and tweaking communities in the world.

Special Guest James Temperton

James Temperton is the Deputy Editor of Cubed3, a long-running and successful Nintendo gaming website based in England. He's been writing about all things Nintendo for five years now and has seen the fall and fall of the GameCube and all the hype and excitement that has surrounded the rise and rise of the Wii. A recent adopter of the Wii60 movement James is not just a fan and commentator of Nintendo but of the gaming industry as a whole. He is currently studying for a degree in English Literature at Cardiff University and also does some freelance writing for various publications.

Special Guest Paul "Lefein" Shields

An avid gamer since the Atari 2600 and a lover of gaming as a commercial media outlet and art form. Lefein has made 12,000 posts in the PS3Forums over the last 2 years. He says "There is no industry as dynamic and in touch as the gaming industry because a future without interactivity is one that is not truly entertained."
