The contest involves entrants producing original Gamekillers-themed machinima using the following games:
- Electronic Arts: Burnout Revenge, SimCity 4, SimCity 4 Rush Hour Expansion Pack, SSX On Tour, The Sims 2 (PC), The Sims 2 (Console), The Sims 2 Holiday Edition, The Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion Pack, The Sims 2 Open for Business, The Sims 2 University Expansion Pack, The Urbz: Sims in the City
- Mythic Entertainment: Dark Age of Camelot
- NCsoft: City of Heroes, City of Villains
- Ubisoft: Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, and Jack Carver from Far Cry (Xbox version, not PC)
- Vivendi Universal Games: F.E.A.R.
To get started, you will need to download the assets found in the Gamekillers package. As noted in the official rules, you need to use files found in the Gamekillers Package in your movie

Ready to start Gamekilling?
This contest does not involve the usual shoot 'em up pwnage you normally associate with games and killing. This is an entirely different story. This is about the game of dating, and how people can kill your game. Have you ever been walking outside with a girl when that guy-with-a-dog walks by, your girl gets all excited, pets the dog and before you know it she’s laughing and even worse – exchanging numbers with the dog-dude. He just killed your game!
What does this have to do with the Machinima Contest? We want you to go IN GAME and show us how you stay cool when Gamekillers step in to steal your game. We know you have some MOVES to stay alive – you’re all GAMERS!!! You don’t sit back and take the beating; you take out your bag of tricks and FIGHT back!
