KEYS TO WOW ARENA PWNAGE: Compos & ArenasMillenium's Squad CompositionsHere are the sets used by Millenium on the Tournament Realm. These are some of the most powerful class combinations in 3v3! "Millenium Showz" squad is: Tsoukie, Molie, Sealeen. (Rogue This composition relies on continuous damage dealt by the warrior and rogue. The druid's main job is to keep the team alive by casting life-bloom or rejuvenation. The team relies a lot on the druid's capacity to cast cyclone or root at the right time. This composition is very efficient on the Tournament Realm because the items available there favour close combat over ranged damage. This is because players can choose to equip high level PvE stuff, which grants huge firepower. "Millenium Dream" squad is: Redsea, Phoenix, Thorkan (Warrior The mage's main task is to sheep and counterspell in order to create openings which will allow you to burst and kill one opponent. The priest has to keep the group alive, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be active on the offensive end: Thorkan knows how to do that particularly well, while Redsea is dealing as much damage as he can on the front. Millenium's Guide to the Arenas The Ring of Trials (AKA Nagrand Arena)
This Arena doesn't favour any particular composition. As a matter of fact, pillars allow to easily break lines of sights, which bothers high DPS teams. Moreover, a good player will run around pillars to make close combat opponents nuts. By the way, if you decide to do that, run around pillars, let your healer know about it first or he, not the opposing mage, might be the one losing sight of you! Another good strategy on this map is to lure a warrior behind a pillar in order to disable him using Hammer of Justice or Root, and then gank him. That should be enough to get rid of him since his teammates will be too far to help. This is extremely efficient against warriors who are just a bit too aggressive, so watch out for that moment when they cross the line. This Arena is really big and you should use this to your advantage. Druids should use their travel form to go away from the fight quick when they get focused. Ask your healer(s) to follow you when you do that, this way, close combat opponents will hesitate to run after you: its a lot of risks venturing too far from their own healer(s). Last important point: don't go to the middle of the map. There's nowhere to hide over there. That's the reason why high DPS teams will always try and push you out of the pillars area. Dont let them do that to you! Ruins of Lordaeron
This Arena clearly gives an edge to big DPS burst compos: those who have a shaman in 5v5, or those who with 2 DPS in 2v2. The Arena is small, which makes it tough to break lines of sight, drink a potion and restore mana. The only way to do that is to run around the tomb. Dont forget to tell your healer if you want to do that or he will lose sight of you and wont be able to heal. Of course, this also works the other way around very well : you should always try to isolate one of your opponents on your side of the tomb. This will give you a couple seconds for a huge DPS burst that should result in a quick kill. When youre under assist, its interesting sometimes to jump on the tomb to the other side. This trick will allow you to outrun close combat classes. Be smart, though, this will only work with lower tier teams. Circle of Blood (AKA Blade's Edge Arena)
The Circle of Blood clearly is best suited for defensive compos, meaning the ones that don't rely on high DPS to win and don't play with a shaman in 5v5. You need to win on the long run in this Arena because it is perfect for hiding and breaking lines of sights (by going under the bridge or behind the pillars). It also favours kiting (running away from the fight when under pressure), especially for druids in travel form. Its very hard to prevent them from regenerating their mana away from the fight. Moreover, pet classes are at disadvantage because of path finding issues when the focused player decides to jump from the bridge to go all the way around. Despite the pet issue, The Circle of Blood is very well suited for hunter because of frost trap. Using this spell, a good strategy consists in having the hunter run out of the gates as soon as they open in order to go to the middle of the bridge. There, he uses his frost trap, which will cover the whole structure. This will force your opponents to choose between moving slowly on the bridge or simply jumping off of it. If they go for the latter option, the hunter and other DPS classes will thump them. |
One of the oldest World of Warcraft guilds, Millenium entered Azeroth during the game's beta, back in 2004. They first came into the spotlight when team leader and founder Cedrix became the first European Alliance player to reach level 60. Then, Gawell was the first player in the world to reach level 70. In 2007, Millenium qualified for the European final of the Worldwide 5vs5 Arena tournament, where they ranked 4th. In 2008, Millenium has several squads ranked in the European Tournament Realm top 10.
