GOF News from Zach
"Calm Before the Storm"
Hey everybody - Zach here from Gamers Outreach Foundation
It has been quite awhile since we've posted a news update, so I wanted to take a moment to write you a summary of what's been going on these past few weeks, and what you can expect in the coming months.
- First and foremost, let's talk about the Gamers for Giving DVD.
Where is it? When will it be finished? How can you get a copy?
The G4G DVD is obviously long overdue, and to be completely honest, in the beginning it was something I had put on the back burner of my list of things to do. However I am happy to at least say the footage is done being edited. It's nothing fancy, just a compilation of some video footage we took during the weekend. While the video is finished, the release of the footage has been delayed due to a number of scheduling conflicts between DJ Rodimus and myself. DJ Rodimus has all the edited footage, but hasn't been free to render / burn the video. Before I started writing this news bit - I asked him when he thought he'd be done with the video, and he said he was hoping to get it done this week. Finishing the footage is on the top of my list of things to get done. We'll be posting the video on our website when it's finished.
- As many of you know, we've had plans to re-construct our website for some time now. Though the actual construction process has been somewhat mysterious, (all we have on our new intro page is "New Site Coming Soon") I want to bring the topic to the forefront of this news update, since the website will be our main focus for the next 3 months. Gamers Outreach Foundation is working with a company called Acro Media Inc.
, which is a highly reputable professional web design and marketing firm (seriously, have you ever heard of
http://www.filefront.com ? These guys are no joke.
- check out their portfolio
http://www.acromediainc.com). We're estimating the site will be complete sometime in August or September.
All I can say, is that the new website is going to be...
