Bogus Videos and Security Concerns
Recently, scammers have posted two bogus videos on popular internet hosting sites to try to trick Guild Wars players into revealing their account information. One video alleges to show players how to hack into Guild Wars, while the other offers early entry into the Guild Wars 2 beta. Both of these videos are completely bogus and are directly linked to recent account thefts. Do not fall for these scams. Remember: never give your account password out to anyone. Also, when legitimate information about the Guild Wars 2 beta is available, you will find it first on www.guildwars.com.

New Hero, M.O.X. the Golem
So, with the new release of Guild Wars: The Complete Collection (see Play.com for more info), they are going to release a new hero (apparently).

Bettering the Guild Wars-Xfire Usergroup
Hey guys, just Doucet here.

Just thought I would post up a news bulletin for updates. As many have probably seen, Impact has provided the usergroup with vent if anybody is interested and I give many thanks to him doing so. I have been rather busy lately being back in a school setting so I have less time to check on/get on vent, or make additions to the usergroup. I'm very sorry for this and I wish I had more time to spend but I also have my guild to lead, and alot of work etc.

Basically what I'm addressing here, is the lack of "helpful figures" that stand out in the usergroup. I know alot of people out there are very experienced players and are more than happy to help. So I'm asking this, anybody in the usergroup who wants to help out etc, let me know(I always keep my xfire on, just leave a message) and I'm going to set up a new rank dedicated to people willing to help where people can check the roster and get help through these dedicated people.

Another thing I want to address as we get closer to filling up our roster, is inactivity. The best way I can see to take care of this is simple. I'm asking that everybody take a moment when they read this to go to thier "Roster" tab for the usergroup and set the tag[GwX] at the very beginning of your name. This will NOT set your name outside of the usergroup any different, it will just help me weed out people so we can get in more active people. I will read through and make some cuts in about a month or so from now.

One last thing, I urge everybody to use the forums. I have 3 sections set up so far, thats:

~Trade
~Recruitment
Keep the Trading and Recruitment is strictly for Guild Wars please. Anybody who has any suggestions or concerns, please contact me.
