City of Heroes Issue: 12 free weekend
In celebration of Issue 12: Midnight Hour going live, we have reactivated your game account through the end of this weekend. Simply log on to City of Heroes®/City of Villains® between now and Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 8:59 PST/11:59 EST and your account will be active* and playable!

Our 12th free expansion has a wealth of great content for everyone! The Midnight Squad storylines let players embark on a host of new missions and unlocks a set of Roman and Greek inspired zone environments unlike anything you've seen in Paragon City™ or the Rogue Isles™. On the evil side we introduce Villain Epic Archetypes. Powerset Proliferation brings two new powersets to each Hero and Villain archetype, and the list of overall gameplay improvements is by far the biggest and best that we've ever introduced.

On a related note, are you aware of City of Heroes' two very "rewarding" referral programs? Both programs reward active players for bringing more people into City of Heroes with free game time! The standard Referral Program lets active players send 10-day free trials to their friends and rewards them if their friends subscribe to the game. The Reactivation Referral Program (also called the Invite a Friend Back Program) rewards players with free game time for bringing inactive** players back into the game. Get the details below.

WOW: Fury of the Sunwell content update
Taken from the Blizzard Insider:
The most recent major content update for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, introduces major new additions to the items, gameplay, and storylines of The Burning Crusade. Here are some of the notable features: Defeat some of Warcraft's most insidious villains -- and acquire some of the most powerful rewards -- in the new Sunwell Plateau raid dungeon and Magisters' Terrace five-person dungeon. Earn reputation and rewards with the new Shattered Sun Offensive faction. Honor is now earned instantly instead of at the nightly calculation, and diminishing returns have been eliminated. The number of daily quests allowed each day has been increased to 25, and more than a dozen new daily quests have been added. Many new purchasable items are available, including dozens of new epic Badge of Justice rewards and rare-quality PvP sets based on reputation with various factions. And much, much more....

America's Army: ES2 and Beyond
Taken from the America's Army News Letter.
AA v2.8.3 introduced a preliminary "Every Soldier is a Sensor" (ES2) feature. ES2 improves situational awareness by attributing a vital awareness indicator to your experience in your Area of Operations (AO) and collecting information through trained observation and interaction with the local population. Listen for the audio and check out the text. Situational awareness is critical for Brigades and Battalions to better understand their operating environments, often characterized by complexity and unpredictable methods used by the enemy. With future releases we'll expand ES2 and integrate it even further into a training level and more multiplayer missions.

What else is going on? Well, you asked, and we listened. We like to think that no other game has a greater connection between the people who make the game and the people who play it. So we're squashing any bugs that exist in the game and focusing on the gameplaying experience by decreasing loading times and increasing frame rates.

We are also addressing suggestions made by the community. Please continue to let us know via the forums, PMs and e-mails what we can do to help make this game even better. You are an important element to the process, and your feedback helps us tremendously.

Look for the next release of America's Army sometime this summer!
