Xfire Release 1.102 Beta
2008-12-08 3:27 PM PST
It's time for another Xfire release! A new beta version of Xfire is available for testing.

Download Xfire Beta 1.102b now

Exit Xfire. Copy 102b.exe to your Xfire data installation directory (usually c:\Program Files\Xfire\ on XP and c:\ProgramData\Xfire on Vista) and run it to update your Xfire. If you don't know how to do this, then you probably should not be attempting to beta test Xfire.

If you play Guild Wars, please try out the improved in-game web search.

Please restrict discussion of the beta to this blog thread. This is to help us track your feedback. We are interested in your experiences with the new beta, specifically anything that goes horribly wrong. Thanks for your help!

Anything in particular that changed? I don't really see a difference, the same things work and don't work as in the last beta.

Not quite sure whats happened with this new beta update, but all my CoD:WaW servers show all the information about them ok but now have no names, ie i have a full codwaw server list with 'Call of Duty:World at War Multiplayer' from top to bottom so i now cannt tell which server is which

**Edit**
yeah i have had to uninstal and go back to the last public release, this beta totally screws up the CoD:WaW favourite server listings. ie no names atall every server on your favourite list is called Call of Duty World at War Multiplayer. Needs sorting before Pub release..
Please

Worked fine for me, make sure you put the 1.102b in your xfire install directory...
xp = c:\Program Files\Xfire
vista = c:\ProgramData\Xfire

Just do as the instructions say. If you put the updater to wrong folder or start it from somewhere else than the folder (for example double click on your web browser's download list), it will not work.
