whats good :

preview of the game fully updated, its basicaly the thing they now test in alpha.
edit: alpha is over, open beta now, game fully up and running soon on official servers.
you got a nice experiance with the game when the real game comes out
you can keep playing this instead of the real server
its 90% english

whats bad:
itsnt as populated as the original servers will be
becase of lower population there will be less mothership spawns and strategic point spawns
games 10% in vietnamese

i downloaded the game anyway and started testing, this game is realy neat to try even on a private server. il prolly play both the private and the real server =P

after downlaoding these 2 parts unzip and install the game.
youl notice this isnt the english version. well your right.
this is the vietnamese server etup. but its required.
install this game, and if nessesary, patch till version 1006/4006 depending what the game shows.

CANCEL the patching if it goes to 1007/4007 or higher.
max patch you need is the 1006/4006 patch.

( game might be version 1006/4006 cuz i had an older setup so im not sure about this )

after doing that leave the game be and downlaod this manualy patch -->

once downlaoded, unzip the patch. youl get 2 files.
an res-tex file or something alike that and an sco.exe.

no heres what to do -->
go to the folder where you installed phidoi; search for the same res-tex folder or something like that ( the file unzipped from the patch ) delete the original folder in phidoi. ( DELETE ).

then after deleting copy the folder unzipped from the patch into your phidoi folder. also copy the sco.exe into the folder.

after doing that, run the sco.exe

this will give plenty of errors connecting to the server,

KEEP TRYING. itl work after a few trys. some moment itl start patching. then give more errors maybe. do not care about the errors, keep running that sco.exe file till your fully updated.

if it tells you got the wrong sco version and need to dl an patch you gota reinstall phidoi and patch phidoi with the autopatcher till the right version ( max 1006/4006 )

if it tells cannot conenct to server keep trying then, means your doing it right.
