King's Bounty: The Legend

This very much resembles Heroes of Might & Magic, or Age of Wonders, turn-based. Except that it is completely updated for 2008/2009 regarding graphics quality.
You get a large game world to walk around in with your hero. Your hero should have some army accompanying him. You'll have the space for 5 different units. The hero can improve his abilities with wearing certain items. The size of his units is determined by his Leadership ability. The bigger his ability, the more units he can have.
Battlefield scenes are divided into hexagonal tiles. If you know Master of Magic, the battle's like that, except for the shape of the tiles. The hero (you) can cast spells and is not visible on the game grid itself. All your units will be shown on the grid and they can each move a certain amount and attack and stuff. Or even use their magic if they happen to have magic abilities.
It's a fun game overall, and graphics-wise they are very pretty. When Age of Wonders came out, it was regarded as a very pretty graphical update on the other games of this genre. You could say that this game, the King's Bounty: The Legend is the same way of this day and age, a very pretty upgrade.
