Well, well. Perhaps not ALL boys on Xfire are girls, after all.
Sure, The Sims 3 improved a little bit more this week, but on the other hand, Prototype, also appeared on the charts. And let me tell you something. This is no girly-girl game. Just listen to these snippets from the description on Wikipedia.
A shape shifting bad-ass guy trying to stop (or whatever he is doing) some military shit going on in New York City? That's some seriously manly stuff. Like, hair on your chest manly. Or like, baseball and beer manly. It's even so manly that I no longer consider Xfire to be lost to the rainbow side of humanity.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, no. You can be queer if you want to, as long as my games stay manly.
As you can see, most of the changes happening on the charts is directly related to the success of Prototype and The Sims 3, but Team Fortress 2 is dropping a bit too much to be caused just by that. The game is obviously suffering from the good ol' "Oooh, a shiny new feature, let's play the game all the time for two weeks and then quit"-way of gaming. But, it goes to show that there are people out there seriously interested in playing TF2, if there are improvements made.
Another thing definitely worth noting is that we no longer have Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning with us on the charts. Which I believe is the first time since the game was released. I'm not quite sure what you guys think about the future of the game, but please share your thoughts!
Tomorrow I'm heading to check out the job I'll be doing for summer, so I have a couple of hours of riding a train, which I guess can be enjoyable.
Oh, please remember to add the Xfire Twitter account if you use twitter, for all the latest updates!
i don't know how well known prototype is, but everyone knows about the SIMs game, i'm really not that surprised that it's where it's at. from what i've heard from friends about the PS3 and 360 releases of prototype, it's an awesome game, but i don't think it'll go any higher on the chart and obviously it will drop once everyone has beaten it. i'm sure the SIMs will also drop in the list once people get bored of the same thing nonstop, i've only played the first SIMs game and i've gotta say, after three hours of playing it i always get tired of playing it and don't play it again for at least a couple of months.
I like Sims3...but..I guess I'm to girly to see why it's a girly game?
it's missing blood right? is that why it frilly and pink?
for WoW on the top..why? Is there that many 13-20 year olds on xfire that WoW is actually "good". Idk I gave up figuring that one out when saw my brother play it...(22)
It's good to see Prototype crawling up the ranks. after 4-5 hours of it, I still wasn't bored, which if you can make me play a game for 5-6 hours then you're a welcome addition to Gaming.
