@cyannuremagik: Download the latest Xfire client from Xfire.com. Restart your computer (don't let Xfire automatically start). Install the new client - Enjoy.
when the update finished and start installing itself, the installer tries to close xfire; But it won't so the installer stop the installation and then xfire crashes.
