I have been hesitant to introduce this to the internet due to fear of it being stolen, and because I don't know how it will be recieved. Here it is anyway.
So there I was with a book on self-hypnosis. I was sitting in school when I had an awesome idea. This idea was probably inspired by virtual reality and Gmod and the book I was reading.
I thought of using self-hypnosis to induce a trigger word into one's subconscious. When spoken, this trigger word would cause imaginary senses to overlay one's real senses, placing the user into an imaginary world in their own mind. Multiplayer should be able to work though telepathy.
And so I went on and contacted a hypnotherapist through email, and she said that something along the lines of me being quite creative and encouraged me to continue onward. A few more emails were traded back and forth but then she said that she didn't have time to help me anymore, so I was kinda stuck. I had managed to get someone else to try the whole thing, and after doing about 4 or 5 times, he said the trigger word and he claimed that he was "in" his desktop background for a moment, but it was fuzzy or something. I don't know if he was lying or not, but if he wasn't then it was quite a breakthrough at the time.
Then this whole thing was kind of buried under a pile of other things to do, like school and stuff. Recently however, I've begun to work on it again, and I've uploaded the file I created to Rapid Share and now I'm here to share it with the rest of the internet.
And so, without much further ado, I submit to you, the viewer of this blog post, my creation: Virtual On.

If you listen to this about 20 times then it might actually get the trigger word to actually trigger something.
I'm not exactly sure of the effectiveness of this file, but there isn't much that should actually keep this from working.
