The wait is finally over! Yesterday VALVe finally released the update everyone was waiting for, the heavy update. It includes 3 new weapons for the heavy, 3 new maps ( lumberyard, ravnik and badwater basin) and a new mod called arena.

The new mod isn't that great at all, it's unbalanced and gets booring very fast because when you die you have to wait till the round is over.
And sometimes, when your team lost the last round, you don't even get respawned. I think VALVe should work a bit on that mod, and it maybe will become good, but just maybe.

When i first read about the new mod i couldn't wait because i thought that the new map lumberyard will be huge, but later i realized that it's smaller than badlands. But the designe of the map is great and reminds me of white forrest. It's nice to play on an map with grass and trees for one time, but as i said... it's too small, i can't even imagin how 32 people should fit in this map...

The map badwater basins is an awesome map! It's a payload map that has just one area but with 5 capturepoints. It has many alternate paths and more open spaces ( not like goldrush).

To the three unlockables:

Sandvich:
The sandvich is the first unlockable for the heavy.
It heals 120 HP but that takes 4 seconds. I would
use it only when i'm safe, and i mean SAFE. When
you're attacking it would be better to take the
shotgun instead of the sandvich...

Natascha:
Natascha is the second unlockable which replaces
the heavys minigun. It has a 100% chance/hit to slow
your enemy down. Only problem, it's weaker than
the normal mingun ( -25% demage). It's useful when
you are with an heavy who uses the normal minigun
or when you defend. I think Sasha is still better for
attacking.

The K.G.B. Gloves of boxing:
This is the last unlockable for the heavy. It gives you
critical hits for 4 seconds when you killed somebody
gloves. I'm not sure if it has less demage but i think they
are better than the fists.

Overall you can say that the update was a succes,...
