How things change...
2012-02-19 11:56 AM PST
Hey,

Wow it's been ages since I've been on xfire properly, so you can bet I'm shocked how much like facebook it's become, but I must say I like it, the new futuristic xfire program is awesome, love it!

Last time I blogged, was over a year ago, and how things have changed, I have a job again, I got it the end of last year (Nov 2011) and so haven't been around during the day, but as usual I'm still simming.

I also have a new Laptop as well, I really do love it, Windows 7 is the best! So I am going to come on xfire a lot more, my old laptop got to the point where it would get very hot when I played Sims and loaded Xfire which is why I didn't that often, but this one works great!

Not sure what else to say, so I'm gonna head back to browsing fb and listening to music on Spotify (I've simmed too much today already lol!).

Happy simming!

WoW and Sims
2010-11-12 4:17 AM PST
Hey,

So I tried out WoW and ended up buying it lol! I didn't see that coming, but its a lot better than I thought it would be, plus it sucked that the trial capped me at level 20 When I wanted to do more, and it wasn't that expensive to get it, not when you know people lol So now I'm on the full version of WoW but I only have it until this month lol, then I'll just have to stick to my Sims 3 Late Night for a bit because of money issues I've got to graduate and that takes a lot of money lol, not to mention birthdays and christmas coming up.

I really need a job lol!

I've heard WoW take over their lives, but it doesn't with me lol, I play Sims and WoW, and only play WoW for a few hours each day, sometimes not at all lol. So I'm still a simmer, but now I also like to play WoW as well Once you play you'll know why lol, my Mage Willowair is now level 29 - yay!!

Happy simming & wow'ing!!

Trying out WoW
2010-10-19 6:50 AM PDT
Hey,

So I have a few friends who play WoW so I thought I'd try out the trial, I was actually surprised by how detailed the world is even on only fair graphics. (Check out my pics if you're intrigued )

It is quite fun to play, I had fun questing which I didn't think I would, what made it more fun was having my friend guide me through it, ensuring I didn't die by casting protection spells and increasing the spells I could cast (I made a Mage). So thanks Meg!!

I will not be changing to playing WoW instead of Sims, for one Sims doesn't charge you to play it lol, but I can understand why people enjoy playing it. I'll keep playing it until my trial runs out which will be perfect timing for the new Sims 3 expansion - Late Night to be released lol!!

Happy WoW'ing and Simming!!

p.s. WoW'ing is now a verb the same as simming

World Adventures & the stuff pack
2010-02-13 9:13 AM PST
Hey,

Two blogs in one day - bet you're shocked

I just realised I never said my thoughts on World Adventures or the stuff pack.

First of all World Adventures - the expansion pack that takes your sim out of their expanded world and lets them explore new cultures, what I love about this expansion is how integral it becomes with the normal game. For example if you get your sim to marry a chinese guy, his traits are going to show for generations to come by that I mean his chinese traits - like the fan and the chopsticks same with the french and egypt whatever defines their culture will continue with future generations - very cool!
Add to that the tomb exloring (very Indiana Jones) and you've got a great expansion pack with a little bit of everything. There's new skils to learn, my favourite being martial arts - love that! Nectar making's cool as well but requires a lot of effort lol, not my thing. I never really tried photography but it is clever how it recognises what you're taking a picture of.
The adventures are fun they can get a bit repetitive which is why it's best to not cheat and use boolprop which you can do to be able to go away again straight away, otherwise you may find you go through the adventures too quickly. If you balance the adventures with normal playing - it makes for a very enjoyable experience.
The stuff pack - recently out adds some great furniture and clothing, so great to furnish your sims homes. You also get the vibrate bed back, you know the heart shaped one from Sims 1 and this cool guitar and I forget what the third item is lol. For the price it is you get exactly what you expect from a stuff pack - more stuff for your sims. I'm looking forward to the next expansion pack which is rumoured to be Hobby & profession according to www.snootysims.com - scroll down a bit and you'll see it in their news. So wonder what they're going to do with it!

This time I am going to sim lol, cya

Happy simming!

Going back in time
2010-02-13 8:43 AM PST
Hey,

I've decided to play a save I had played before, there's even pics, Chloe & Jared and their kid Jack, well I got quite far with that save and then my laptop overheated and died and I couldn't get back what I'd done because I hadn't backed it up - stupid I know. Anyways when I first got the laptop back I didn't want to have to play something I'd just played, so I shelved the save for a while, but now I'm in the mood to play, so you'll be seeing pics of my past families again. We're going back in time lol and seeing what happens the same and what does not lol.
Right well I'm gonna get back to playing

Happy simming!

Thanks for the help! Sims 3 thoughts :)
2009-08-05 12:12 PM PDT
Hey

Well first off I'd like to thank anyone who went to the link in my last blog and supported my friend, much appreciated because he won!!! So now he can happily sim, well when his studies don't take up his time that is, but now he's got a reliable laptop or rather macbook that isn't about to die to help with them - sooo yay!!

Still loving Sims 3 - it surprises me sooo much like how if a sim is over at your house and they go into labour you can take them to the hospital yourself and then you end up with the new baby moodlet - cool or what? Be careful though it can cause your sim to then wish for a baby like mine does now.

I can't wait to find out more about the new EP Sims 3 World Adventures sounds very Indiana Jones ish to me, and oh sooo intriguing!!

http://www.thesims3.com/community/news

EA can be very surprising sometimes so i'm expecting to be blown away like I was with Sims 3 when I realised Sims live their lives without your help

Well I'm gonna get back to simming, happy simming & cya!

Sims 3 and helping my friend?
2009-06-10 3:32 PM PDT
Hey,
I don't ask for much, and as you may know sims 3 is out now, well a friend of mine (TheSimMan) can't play it, his laptop crashes everytime he gets anywhere near a sim to play, he can build as long as he continuously saves, that's rubbish right? SO help me help him, by supporting him on his page so he can win the competition and have the laptop so he can play The Sims 3 and therefore properly enjoy the game like many other simmers are. *takes breath*

He's gave a lot to the community, he's always making lots and vids for us to enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSimMan
So why not help him back, I have

Here's his fan page:

Thanks for helping if you do

Happy simming!

Happy New Year!! Having Spore Problems! ...
2008-12-30 10:24 AM PST
Hey

Tomorrow's the last day of 2008 - yay! Hope 2009 proves a better year, what with businesses disappearing left right and centre we need some good stuff happening next year.
I actually played Spore today, but I seem to be having problems with my graphics, this card is better than the one I used to play Spore with, well it is for sims, but aparently not for Spore, I keep getting see-through/transparent graphics, and things look too shiny, I've got everything up high and in creature stage it's not so bad. But once in cell stage, it's horrible, all the creatures are pretty much transparent, I've looked to see if my anti-aliasing is set to forced which someone on the forum suggested but nope it's not, so not got a clue how to solve it, If anyone does please comment!

Happy sporing & Happy New Year!!

Spore rocks!!
2008-09-17 7:43 AM PDT
Hey

I have to say Spore rocks!! It really does, it's quite hard in some parts and you get the "aargh I don't want to die" feeling quite a few times through the duration of the game. I was complaining before that my creature didn't have any opportunities to attack, why did I not keep my mouth shut lol? Because now they've had plenty of oppurtunities but everything that was doing the attacking was much bigger. I found if they're big and scarey, i.e. orange smiley face, then try singing first, the one lot of creatures that when I met them before and they killed me (I didn't save) this time once I impressed them became my ally. I still haven't figured a tactic to escaping an epic creature, sneaking doesn't work because my pack can't do it as well and because I didn't want them to dieI tried defending my pack but of course died. I find running is the best way to escape as in keep running and don't look back for no reason at all. I'm looking forward to space the most, I'm hoping that the missions and stuff will be like Stargate Missions, you know where if you save their life etc, then they owe you a favour and they save your bum for you. That reminds me I should create an asgard creature, I wonder if there's one out there.
Wow I waffle on a lot, I'm confused why xfire won't work in game though, no matter how many times I reload Spore, my shortcut for chat that works in Sims 2 doesn't work in spore, and it's annoying me quite a bit. Hopefully I'll figure out what's causing it.

For now cya, happy sporing!
