Fallout 3 - Intro
2008-11-05 5:01 PM PST
It's too bad I went and bought this game for the 360... you might not see me on Xfire for a while. It's like a combination of CoD4 single player and Oblivion. Amazingly fun.

You can spend hours just stalking the wastes, sniping with your hunting rifle and closing in with a 10mm pistol to finish the job.

Found a laser pistol in the Super Duper Mart today, got 30/162 charges for it. It's in pretty bad condition though, so I'll have to either waste some bottle caps getting it repaired or find a third one to repair it myself. It does about as much damage as my 10mm does, but lasers are sometimes more impressive than bullets.

SPORE
2008-09-14 7:44 PM PDT
Well, this morning I decided to randomly get off my ass and go buy this game. It took about two hours to get it due to... complications... but I eventually hauled it home, installed it, and started creating creatures with which to conquer the galaxy! I'm especially proud of my zerglings, though it needs;

a) a more original name
b) a few minor tweaks

I've already seen some creatures made by a friend, and since I'm in the Tribal stage at the moment, conquered them.

>_>

Sorry, Bren. Zerglings > Logos

Oblivion
2008-06-12 6:07 PM PDT
Man, I used to think these sort of RPGs sucked. Sure, I dabbled in a bit of Diablo II, (40 or so hours is dabbling, stfu.) played a bit of KOTOR I-II for Xbox, played Fable for five minutes, but Oblivion is the first next-gen RPG I've played. Suffice to say, I'm fucking addicted. Haven't even leveled up yet, and I'm roaming the countryside, slaughtering, pillaging, raping (not really, but ), and collecting skulls. I've got about 23 so far. I can't wait to buy a house and stash my then-massive collection!

Lags like a bitch, but it's so worth it. <3 Oblivion.

Imperial Guard
2008-05-08 2:29 PM PDT
For those of you who play Dawn of War, be it the original, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, or Soulstorm, when you think of the Imperial Guard, you think weak, easy, powerless to stop your advancing hordes.

Well, unless you put a comp played on harder, that's probably true. However, when you go online, and meet a player who's well balanced in all races, the Imperial Guard are a formidable force to play against.

The very thing seen as the greatest weakness of the Guard, the fragility of their infantry, is actually their greatest asset. It only costs 20 requisition to reinforce the squad, the cheapest in the game. Combine this with the huge, massive armies associated with the Guard, (such as 5 entire squads early on in the game!) and the Imp Guard can take on any infantry threat.

The folks at Relic admit that the Guard have the best tanks in the game. Indeed, a pair of Leman Russ' and a single Baneblade backed up by infantry is a nearly unstoppable force.

Kasrkins, while few in number, are extremely powerful once fully upgraded. They're a fine addition to the massive swarms of Guardsmen you'll unleash on your enemies.

Overall, the Guard are one of my favourite races. Anything for the Imperium.

The joys of Xfire...
2008-02-07 5:42 PM PST
Started up a few servers on SoF2, and what do I see? Instead of snotty 13 year olds who've nothing better to do, I meet respectable people, (a few fellow francophones!) and have added a bunch of people I met online. It's great fun. BOOM, HEADSHOT

Yay, screenshots. :D

I hate Vista. It screws up practically every single fucking game I own. I did find one that's fun, and isn't screwy! I give you, Jedi Academy. :O Mind you, still having problems with multiplayer, but I'm sure I can manage without for a while.

I took a few screenshots, so go check 'em out. Wish I could take some of that mutated invincible rancor thing... looked like something straight out of a crack head's nightmare.

Clan slowly growing, which is good.

New Comp
2007-08-25 7:52 AM PDT
Bought a new comp. Expect to see games like Dawn of War, HPC, Empire at War, and whatever else I fancy that wasn't availible to me before. I'll upload the rig information when I reinstall Xfire.

I AM SORRY THAT IN PREVIOUS POSTINGS I COMPLIMENTED VISTA. I RETRACT THOSE STATEMENTS UNDER PLEA OF INSANITY. VISTA IS A PILE OF USELESS SHIT. kthxbai

Gungans VS Clones
2007-06-30 10:54 AM PDT
Wow. I played an online game of Clone Campaigns versus a friend of mine, and we played on a sea map. It was pretty intense.

My 'enemy' rushed to get transports and started landing troops on my island. Those of you who play know that Clones have some of the better infantry, so my little Gungan dudes were hard-pressed to defend my base. And since Clones have the best Jedi in the game, there were a lot of bounty hunters running around.

Once I got my shipyard up and running, I started intercepting his transports with some frigates. After losing a couple of troops at sea, he began to attack me with air units. I countered with some of my own and a few mobile AA units, and after a couple of vicious skirmishes, I managed to land troops on his island. They all died, but I took advantage of my cruiser's beefed up range and shell most of his buildings into dust.

Game ended when he snuck around and killed my commander. Pretty fun game anyway.
